Does scattershot have 3 times the chance to apply the dot or does it only roll once? If it does, that'd be pretty interesting. Might make low potency weapons more useful (like my 250 mind poison, 11% potency one).

Last I checked, I think ScatterShot2 was only removing one "use" on the DoT weapons, so that it was effectively only a single chance instead of 3.
That said, it's also true that ScatterShot2 counts as 3 hits on steak when it's only one special.. so.. I don't know, we'd have to test it out.

We test it with a really high potency carbine by firing once and seeing if 2 or 3 "You have been poisoned" messages come up.

I am pretty sure the poison's would not stack as we likely would have heard about that happening.
Probably the best way to do it would be take a low potency weapon (like around 5%) or so and count the shots until you land the dot, and do that 5-6 times. 5% (1 in 20) compared to 15% (1 in 7) would be pretty easy to spot.

I didn't mean stack, like it doing 3x the damage, but be applied 3x faster. Even if you already have the poison it'll say you have been poisoned, but it won't do anymore damage.

Now thats interesting. I had no idea scattershot worked like that, yet another reason to be using this attack.

That's how ScatterShot2 and ScatterHit2 (fencer) worked when Synthsteak came out when the Chef Revamp hit. I haven't tested it since, and there might have been a stealth-nerf, but it's doubtful. I'll try to test it sometime, though, but I'm pretty sure it still works like that.
