If it's not against the NDA (and I've been following the posts on the subject and honestly don't recall it being mentioned as a no-tell), can you tell us if your (and the 5 elite carbineers who are joining you) alpha testing for the CU has started yet?

Just curious, I recall before the holidays the servers appeared to not be up yet.

Wow....can't even say that it has started, or not started? That only means one thing......

It hasn't started yet!

If it hasn't started, and that word get's out, there will be lots of angry customers.

If it has started, then they would be on schedule, and thus, there would be no reason not to disclose the fact that they are on schedule.

No, we have started working on the Combat Upgrade, you are mistaken.

Work gets done by SOE then the testers go over it.....then things go back to SOE and the testers wait to go over the next revision.

We have almost 16,000 total posts from Devs and Testers in the CU Forums.....some OT but most dealing with the CU.

Once again, STOP SPREADING RUMORS.

Oh lastly, there is NO SCHEDULE. We get it published to LIVE when it is ready, not some magical date somebody sets.

I will also note here that I talk more about the Combat Upgrade than SOE wishes.....so don't push too hard or the facet will be turned off completely

I don't mind talking about it and what I can, but making ASSumptions pisses me off......

Hey TA, I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers....I was just commenting that the poster asked if it's even been started, and that seemed an innocent enough question to merrit a straigh-up Yes or No answer, since TH has already posted a schedule (kind-of) I didn't mean to tick you off....not to mention I wrote up that little disclaimer to make light of the situation...I guess nobody read my disclaimer.

Yes I read your disclaimer and knew you were clowning around....but others will take what you post and propogate it around the forums, especially since I am posting in this thread....

I didn't mean to single you out, my comments were general or I would QUOTE you or anybody else I wish to single out

I think what they are asking is has the sandbox started yet. garvin teh commando corresponednt said specifically it has not started yet. The CU is being worked on as TA has decsribed but no the sandbox has not been loaded to server nad teh testers playing and testing.

Actually that is false as well.

Not everybody knows what goes on internal at SOE....not saying I have a lot of inside connections, but progress is happening and the server has been started. SOE will be doing some initial Alpha testing before opening it up to over 200 players

There is more up front work in coding done than the actual Alpha/Beta testing, so delays in my personal testing does not mean coding/testing is not happening. And remember we have been picking apart the full CU Docs for some time now....and they are on their 3rd or 4th revision and thus the code must change or expand as well.

I have probably said more than I should, but I respect the Carbineer Community enough to give you all the info I possibly can.

The bottom line is you either trust me or you don't.....I probably can't convince those that aren't with me on this, but I don't lose sleep over it either.
