Will this method work? Use a CDEF carbine (due to it's low ham cost) to KD or stun an enemy, then switch it to a better carbine for normal attacks? I'm a pistoller and TKM now at the moment, i'll try out carbinner after i finish off pistoller. Thanks in advance for the responses.

I think a DH17 would be better in every regard than a CDEF

ya know, i used a maxed out sliced cdef for everything before they nerfed spamming action1/leg2/action1/leg2... it was my favorite, however i think for tiwce the ham cost, a dh17 is faster (and if the ws experimented down the ham to something like a cdef, it would still do a good 80 points of max damage i think as opposed to the 60 of a cdef). however, as damage and speed are the same experimentation, it might be slower.

lol, i do keep a 2.2 speed, 71 max damage cdef on me, mostly for spamming stance changed while running away from something (no melee/ranged defense mods?)

...but beware the darkside, it has a rediculously higher force cost and will lead to being ganked by exploiters...

Thanks for the info guys, but my cdef carbine special HAM cost is like
7 mind
13 action
7 health.
But isnt a DH17 carbine special HAM cost more?
Would this be a good KD (knockdown) weapond to use? I have nym's carbine but it just sucks up too much ham.

Thanks again for the replies

I guess from this post that it doesnt matter what dmg you make with a carbine when trying to use KD or specials. Im a BH and just got myself a nice carb with 9/19/9 HAM, or something like that.

When trying to confuseshot/fireknockdown, it would be better to use that carbine 'cause of the lower HAM cost, but i thought that the damage had something to do with the chanse to knock them down, is that incorrect then?

Why not just eat some food like Breath of Heaven and Ryshcate (1 food and 1 drink)? It will drive you strength, quickness and focus to over 1000 (unarmored). Then your special costs will be so low you can spam specials all day. I buy Breath of Heaven and Ryshcate by the crate.

Better yet, get some doctor buffs.

Then you can use a carbine that does damage and have low HAM costs.

I hate a bad pun, but with food and drink buffs, you can have your cake and eat it too

I would like just to find a vendor with Breath of Heaven and Ryshcate on them. On tempest trying to find food vendor is hard. trying to find one with what I need impossible!
