power camping?

do you consider it power camping when you cap one and then place another, or are you referring to macro camping?

Power Camping (v, adv)

To camp for the main reason of gaining survival experience.

I had some self-imposed rules, to which I coined the term: "Role Playing my camps".

  1. Never drop a camp in the same place twice. Usually farther then 500m from one site to another.

  2. Never macro. Pretty much taken care of in #1

  3. Try todrop a camp after the night hits and break at dailight. This is how I got 1000+ posts on these forums

  4. Chaining is permisible, as long as there is a hunt of at least30 minutes in between and does not violate #1. This way those that are not medic can use the camp to heal. Simply walking and dropping a camp every 30 minutesis not permissable, but you can drop one at dusk regardless of finding something to hunt(see #3)

Note that you can go AFK but I rarely did, and it was usuallyfor a short time. It took me 2 months to get Master tho.

Finally did it. Thanks to the others out there on Chilastra for support, (when available) Special thanks to Sleezi and Feqhlr for being my trainers.

Now...on to bigger and better.

Novice Chilastra Rangers, feel free to look me up for training, I know its hard to track the masters down.

I wont charge, I do appreciate tips, but you will have to come to me usually....

Mostly on Tat, near Tusken's Bane, or offworld.

hmm...i fall into a questionable area then for the last 50k or so survival xp.

see, i was jamming with a couple other musicians outside of theed, working up to music knowledge 2, while in a campsite. well, i had a feeling we were gonna be jamming for awhile, so i took advantage of the survival xp and turned the campsite over every 10 minutes or so.

it was great fun, but i suppose it would fall within your definition of power camping. i, on the other hand, don't have a problem with grinding anything. where i think it's questionable is any afk macroing to level.

when i look at your definition of power camping, i focus on the point that states that you can't place one camp right after another. as you have a problem with this, then obviously you also have a problem with going on an extended hunting trip with the express purpose of harvesting as much as you possibly can, to advance through the wayfaring and tracking lines. further, i suppose you also had a problem with using more than 1 trap on every encounter, or rather, going hunting with the express purpose of using successive traps every encounter with the intention of leveling.

do you, then, also have a problem with artizans doing their grind?

having a problem with afk macroing is one thing. having a problem with grinding is quite another, considering that this game revolves around 'the grind' (hell, even the NPCs observe the grind!). i apologize if i've been a little aggressive here, that's just the way that i argue. i'm not saying that your opinion is invalid, just that i disagree, and my reasons for doing so.
