Sorry punched the enter button too soon.

Ok I don't know how many of you actually look at the guns in nyms armory or un the walls of the guild halls. I mean they look good but can they do some damage.

I saw the elites at nyms armory and decided to have one made. Well four of them came out. Stock, muzzle, and scope. Ham is bearable at 48/63/43 and damage is nice at 243-128 dmg. Wound is at 35%. Speed isn't bad. Its around your typical elite speed at 3.8. But I have used it in a duel and it does nice damage. and after extensive testing on missions. Average damage for specials will be around 1000-1500. This was sliced for damage.

So I figured if that worked then I might have it tried on a couple of other guns.

The dh-17 snub wtih stock scope and muzzle. That oldie but goodie. Dmg 248-133 speed 3.0 ham 38/44/23. Manageable and with the increase in min damage I could make it a viable gun for the jokers that PVP in their undershorts. The bad part is that the animations for the stock didn't show. again another damage slice.

The laser carbine. Well It looks like an M-16 with a scope, stock and muzzle. Dmg 383-98 dmg speed 3.8 wound 50% and ham is 76/97/73. Believe it or not it makes a great sniper weapon. I got crippleshots on npcs that ranged from 600-4200. My best scattershot showed the 5k number on a couple of occasions. I pvped a tka with it and had he not healed I would have had him. Word to the wise. Don't use it without buffs. It will kill you quick. And this too was a damage slice.

I don't know what relavence this will play in the game. I'm just getting the idea out that there might be something to the guns we see hanging on the walls.

Do both the scope and stock show up on the laser when you equip it? My weaponsmith friend said he couldn't get both of them to show.

They don't show up for anyone else looking at the gun though, apparently. Now as for stats I haven't gotten any as high as yours but being a doctor I can buff myself so it's interesting to see what kind of guns are possible. And I agree Nym's armory caught my eye too.

Oh yeah. They show. They are pretty imposing in full assault rifle form.

It has to do with assembling the gun itself in a factory and/or using crated components. I have crates of stocked lasers and DXR6's that do not show the stock. I suspect if the gun and it's subcomponents had been hand made then they'd show.

I'm trying to have a WS hand-make an EE3 with a stock and scope for me. Yes, I know - I'm a Fett wannabe

I hand assembled a few guns lately, the scope OR stock showed up, the laser with stock and scope only showed the stock. The scopes/stocks did come from crates so maybe I need to fully hand assemble all parts.

Morning!

This may sound like a stupid question, but I haven't been to Nym's yet. How did you get one made ? I'm looking for a new Elite after a bad slice on mine. Do you get special attachments / components from Nym's to include in the schematic ? How do they alter the appearance? Anywhere I can go and read up on this ? My google skills fail me before mid day ...

Just confused

They are just other attachments that a weaponsmith can add to a gun. They typically don't add a stock, scope, muzzle, or anything else that they can to help keep the cost of the weapon down. Both in credits and in ham.

i have a noobie weaponsmith alt and from what i can tell your scope, stock or muzzle will show up but...

  • the component you wish to be visible must be removed from the crate and loose in your inventory during final assembly of the gun (ie when assembling the gun dont click a crate of scopes in your inventory, remove a scope from the crate and put the loose on into the gun) this will work for the muzzle (barrel component), stock and scope.

  • the weapon itself cannot be made in a factory (or at least cannot becrated-i havent tested this completely)

  • some weapons will not show some or all of these components no matter how they are assembled/crafted (ie an DH17 snubnose will show a scope graphic but will not show a stock graphic ever)

  • once you have crafted the gun and your scope or whatever is visible be warned that on one occasion the scope graphic on one of my guns would no longer show when i equipped it after i dropped it on the floor of my house however this doesnt always happen..

What about visible stocks on EE3's? The ones by the carbineer trainer in Keran are sexy.

Muzzle? Never heard of a muzzle... what does a muzzle do?

Mine came out at 139-213, speed 3.9- after a damage slice 175-269.

I don't have the speed tree so I use a speed/mindamage powerup to take it to 201-269, speed 2.7. I'm well pleased with it. Also noteworthy: ideal range mod is +59. Most of my skill points are tied up in doctor and merchant so every little bit helps.

Wonder how mine got a higher min damage and lower max damage than yours though.
