I am new to carbineer and unsure about the effectiveness of charge shot in PvE since most the discussion I've found centers on PvP. My buddy is TKA and I'm MCH; my main question is... will he/my petsget the damage bonus for a kd'd opponent when I use charge shot? I'd also be interested in any advice on the overall effectiveness of charge shot in PvE. Thanks.

I solo rancors with charged shot...but you will need some fishak and or gold spice. And buff your other stats because if you use up your hams your toast. The way it works now given enough hams for specials i could solo a kryte dragon with it. If your fighting one target and they dont shoot ranged at you. you win.

99% of the time I lead with ChargeShot1 in all combat situations. It is simply that good in ALL circumstances (except PvP with guys high in KD defense).

I don't know why your pets wouldn't get the extra 50% damage, I know other players do. While taking down some AT-ST's it was VERY appreciated that I was spamming KD on them from the Commandos.

Personally I think ChargeShot1 is more effective in PvE and melee PvP because after the first KD it is basically a posture change to prone. This means a target can attack back from prone.

I have yet to try my KD on a Krayt, but unless they have some hidden defense against KD they should go down pretty easy. I would love to go after a Krayt with a BH that is up the Carbine branch and another one or two people to do heavy damage like Commandos. A BH and Carbineer should be able to hold ANYTHING on the ground with it NEVER getting back up, in theory of course
