Do u have to be using an Elite Carbine to get bonuses in accuracy, speed, mitigation, and the other defense modifiers? Obviously u can use the carbine specials (charge shot, cripple shot ect. ) with any carbine but didn't know if you needed to use the Elite to get the other bonuses? I was told that pistoleers need to use the dx2 to make use of there bonuses listed above so I assume itis the same for carbineer but am not sure. Does anyone know?

I can most certainly tell you that CounterAttack doesn't need any weapon equiped to work. I was letting a guy duel me and he had a hard time hitting me 
I have never heard of such a thing and find it HIGHLY suspect.

Intuitively you would think that u your carbine modifiers would work with any carbine equiped. However i use to be master smuggler/pistoleer and read on the pistoleer forum that some guy tested the FWG5 and Dx2 against defense against knockdown and he almost always got knocked down (vs. TKAM)with the FWG5 equiped and almost never got knocked down with the DX2 equiped.
Anyway I hope u are right since my "Elite" carbine is worse than my laser carbine and Nyms slug thrower. But thats another issue.

I don't believe everything I read on the Forums. I have NO doubt at least some modifiers work with any weapon, or no weapon, as I have experienced it first hand.
