Were do you find that stock for the EE3 carbine that makes it look like fetts(The long arch)? Do weaponsmiths make it or is it looted?

I own a stocked EE3, made by a weaponsmith. But I believe the graphics and display for stocked weapons is bugged. You can stock a T21, and it won't be visible to anyone else but you I think.

Player-crafted stocked carbines are what you are looking for.

Most weaponsmiths make factory runs of stocks and weapons, and as such, they do not display properly. You'd need to contact a weaponsmith and have him/her hand-craft all the weapon components.

The only "common" weapon stock we Carbineers can use are the Form-fitting Stocks from the Imperial Themepark Quest. Since these are not factory made, when combined with player made weapons like an EE3, they display. Most player-made stocks that areplayer-assembled will do, though (I think some are still permanently bugged, a Weaponsmith can help you with that.)

Well I had one and it stayed perminatly not one with 100 uses then its gone. So a weaponsmith can craft these but only you will see them?

The way "visible" mods work is that they are attached to the serial number of the weapon and the player. Meaning that..

..If a weaponsmith hand-crafts a Laser Carbine with a hand-crafted stock, scope and barrel, and handcrafts the Carbine with these mods, then the weaponsmith will create a weapon with visible add-ons.

When you buy/trade the weapon, you are then able to see it. You CANNOT see it on a Vendor.. it HAS to be in your inventory. When it IS in your inventory, you can now see the mods, even when you equip it.

Other players CANNOT see the modifications when you equip that nice-looking Carbine, unless you trade it to them. Once YOUR weapon is in their inventory, they can see the mods. When they trade it back to you, they will be able to see the carbine with the mods when you equip it.

In other words, if you want to have a cool-looking Carbine that everyone can see, you have to trade it to everyone on your server..lol.

Whenever I get a series of nice-looking Carbines, I ensure that all my guildmates pick them up and drop them on the floor again, just because I want them to be able to see my awesome looking stuff.. hehe

That last post raises a question for me. If that is true, how is it that I have seen stocked and scoped weapons of all kinds on walls of various houses belonging to weaponsmiths when I know for a fact those weapons have never been in my inventory?

As far as i know, hand-made weapons dropped in houses allways show stocks/scopes.

err actually its more simple than that.

If a weaponsmith makes the weapon by hand, the stock/scope will be visible by anyone. Its because its tied to the serial # of the weapon.

Weapons made in factories however, will not show the stock/scope, since all weapons made in that factory run will share the same serial # .

Ive had my guildsmith hand-make me an ee3 carbine with stock and scope, when i equipped it everyone in guild saw the mods.. i didnt have to trade it to them or anything.

'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'

Because they hand-craft "cool" weapons for display, whereas the ones they sell are all factory made.

Weaponsmithing requires a lot of experimentation, and all of the smiths I know craft and recraft schematics until they get "amazing successes" on every single crafting stage. Once they have a "perfect" schematic, they then dump it into factories and sell the best stuff for a high premium.

Hand-crafting weapons, however, means that your weapon statistics will most likely always vary by a few damage points, maybe 1 or 2 speed points, a bit of accuracy range and HAM costs. Such fluctuations are common, but it simply wouldn't be profitable. Why spend 10 minutes making one weapon when you can spend 20 making a perfect schematic and creating 1000+?

It's just a matter of profitability. Get any custom krayt weapon made that isn't bugged (certain weapons like the T21 cannot and never will display mods) with custom stocks/scopes and you'll have yourself a cool-looking Carbine.

As for the post right above - I'm not too sure if some weapons are global, and others are not. I know for a fact that I have to trade hand-crafted weapons to my guildmates and back before they can see the mods. If I were to drop the item on the floor, they would see the mods.. and that might work.. hmm..
