Hello and welcome to the carbineer forums. First off I would like to say, even though macro's are used and part of the "game system" they are not as effective in the carbineer proffession as one would think. Let me explain. You have a macro.... ok no let me simplify, each opponent you fight, you will fight differantly, a speedcapped swordsman, i would dizzy first then posturedown. (fcuck kd, fcuck blind and stun) they will hit you hard and fast. Rifleman ok this is differant, Blind them first (fullautosingle2) and getem stunned, then fight them at pointblank (your pointblank mods are higher then theirs are, they will miss you often blinded at pointblank) also never stop moving, always stay moving when you are fighting a rifleman. Teras Kasi. Stun them first to lay those states on faster. Dizzy, posture down. scattershot2/legshot3 away. These are only some examples of very few situations. There is a whole grocery store of templates either hybrid, elite, speedcapped, nonspeedcapped, offense stackers, defense stackers.

I would suggest the following.

  • Learn all of your specials by memory. (its easy, how many codes, phone numbers, math, movie lines,do you know by memory? it can be done with ease)

  • organize your specials in a way in your toolbar so they will compliment eachother. (for example i have it from left to right, [wildshot1,legshot3, fullautosingle2, actionshot1, suppressionfire2, chargeshot1, ---you get the idea,

  • Secondly read up on your opponents specials and mods, (its super easy and at shuttlewaits i did this for a while, ctrl s, look at the skills and examine their specials and defense/offense mods.

  • Play PVE unbuffed (yes yes i know i know high ham, but use food, drinks and spice, if you can pve well after a while, (use be clothes) using this strategy, once you are mindbuffed/docbuffed you will be ready for a good fight.

  • Do not use macro's! They clutter up your precious toolbar, save that for differant weapon types for example lasercarbine/dxr6/ee3, use your specials learn them, then you have no need for macros.

  • If you truly want the full firepower of the carbineer class, make sure you are with 1melee, and 1damage dealer. (tk, rifleman) as a trio of these classes you can dominate a lot of other players that simply use macros or spam a special

  • Never ignore the stats on your weapon, look at range mods, ham costs, minimum damage, condition, etc. These are common sense to a carbineer.

  • If using powerups be careful as they rip up your weapon, i suggest getting a good non pu weapon, and a decent sliced weapon that will 'always be pu'.

  • Get a weapon with a DOT on it. (enhanced e11 work great, or if your lucky a good poison/fire carbine works well ) The reason for this is if you are grouped for pvp/pve, you can really do damage to whole areas. (laying states with a dot weapon can be devastating on a group and cause lots of confusion. lol

  • ALWAYS KITE YOUR OPPONENT, (AND USE YOUR BURSTRUN COMMAND AND THE BURSTRUN FOOD. THESE COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE OR MAKE THE DIFFERANCE IN A FIGHT.)

  • also you can experiment with the /aim command as well

  • use the tumble to standing command if your dizzied, that way if you fall youll stand back up.

Well Those are a few tips that might help you out a bit. Good luck! /salute

Like the poster above, Carbineer isn't a profession that can be macro'd, unless you want to lose more than you can win. Spamming CrippleShot is damaging, but you're not benefiting of any states and posture changes, for example.

Really, the only "macro" I would recommend are:

A peace macro:

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/peace;

This one will clear the queue really fast so that if you're spamming a few specials in the queue and a dizzy appears, you could essentially switch right to a KD.

A KD-delay macro:

/ (insert KD here.. like ChargeShot or FireKD)

/ (insert secondary damage shot, like CrippleShot or FullAuto)

A lot of Carbineers on my server complain how they can't get that many KDs in. The problem is that they spam about 4-5 ChargeShots in their queue, one will hit, and then the next one will negate the effects. If you're speedcapped, it's sometimes difficult to peace and clear the queue within a second after the KD lands.

Hence, this above KD-delay macro is essentially your KD macro, but it ensures that you have an extra-split second to react to avoid posture-changing your target back up again. A KD followed by a KD results in a lost attack. Use this one with the Peace macro.

That's it- the rest of the time, rely on learning your specials.. you'll need most of them.

Well the best way I have found is to queue up a bunch of FullAuto shots until I get the States I want, then I clear the Queue. I remapped the keyboard to have the numberpad enter key be /clearQueue so it is fast and easy for me to hit.

Then I queue up some more Specials, depending on what I want to do....but there really isn't any macro for Carbineer Specials besides using the Combat Queue.

I find it really hard to use macros while in pvp, as your situation is everchanging. i suggest you memorize your toolbar and learn how to use it, then you should be good enough to pvp.

however, in pve, i find its good to have macros that spam certain shots, so when you have the states on you dont have to spam a damaging attack like crippling shot, you just make a macro that spams it.
