Thread: Certifications
How do you accomplish the certifications for the different marksman skills. For example the Tuskan Rifle certification?
Raith
You automatically become certified when you advance the different levels. Each level of Pistol, Rifle, and Carbine come with new certifications.
Zolicki
Apprentice Marksman
Talus, Corellia
I'll probably take some flak for this, but here it is...
I think we gain our certifications too quickly. Assuming resources are available, andthe broken carbine crafting issues get worked out - so high end carbines are actually better weapons - why would you ever buy the mid range weapons? Most of us can probably burn through those first few boxes in marksman in an evening with a CDEF, then go straight to a good quality third tier carbine.
This is a pretty significant issue for the weaponcrafting world, I think. If there's no market for the lower end carbines (and the less-experimented versions), then aspiring weaponsmiths are pretty much relegated to grinding their way to master while all of us buy our gear from the existing master smiths. Besides that, though, getting new equipment is fun. I enjoy looking forward to learning how to use new weapons, but all of that is currently relegated to the marksman tree. It's kind of disappointing to know that from novice carbineer on, I won't be getting anything new.
I think most people agree you get all the weapon certifications far too quickly.
They should be strewn out all the way up to Master, for example at all Tier 2 Carbineer skills you might get the EE3 cert, so no matter which route you take, you can get it.
Maybe some of them could come at Carbineer novice.
New rifles wil probably pop up later in the elite levels of carbineer anyways.
I think we get carbines too quickly, however, in the beta when they were higher up in the elite tree a lot of people complained about that. I thinkthe ideawas *alright* back then but it was way to strict. Right now, they are kind of all bunched together and you fly through them real quick. As stated above, I used a CDEF for a while.. well after master marksman and novice carbineer before I needed to pick up another weapon.
On the other hand, adding in higher certs for such weapons may not leave much room for other future weapons. As for armor and weapons, it does seem that there may not be any updates to them in a while. But you would have to leave room for that that maybe new weapons and armor will be added later for those that are masters or near masters. But by then most people who want ot be masters will be.
Im alittle confused with all the nerfs, and what is on test and what not.
Can someone please clarify this for me.
What branches of the CH tree will we need to tame/call higher level pets.
If this has been answered im sorry, but i cant really get a definate answer.
Thanks.
