Thread: Help with carbine slicing info
I know, but for now i will just use a good SAC Pup. But i wish you could slice SAC instead of criticals.
I just want to know what to slice, like what slices will be pointless cause of caps and diminishing returns.

Ok i have done alot of reading on slicing and i know how the new system works, I just want some opinions about what kind of slices i should get.
First off i want to have an E11 Mark II sliced.
Here are its stats:
Attack Speed 2.11
modified speed 1.31
damage 532 - 1039
estimated dps 372.67
modified dps 599.9
SAC 94
I know dps does not mean anything, but i posted just incase.
I mainly just want to know what kind of slices i should have done.

My opinion is not to waste the money on slicing it, go and get a Carbine with a lower SAC.
My opinion would be to stop spreading the rumor that wepons that do not have low sac are worthless.
That is a very nice carb, I would put all of the slicing into speed, and run a sac pup.
if you dont constanly spam your best special,it will do ok. (spamming ranged shot will do more damage over time than spammingthe most powerful specialsanyway)

Actually with SAC 94, a gun is useable. You'll not be able to spam till the end of days but the gun usually can do the job. (Believe me, i have a converted E11 Mk II, it also has SAC 94. I use it for the complete "stormtrooper look", and when applied correctly, e.g. Baseraid and animal missions, where you have some breaks in between, the gun can be used nicely... vs. a Krayt the SAC is too high, i agree...)
Anyways, i personally would not go for a complete speed-slice. Slices can be split up, smaller slices take smaller portions of the customisation level. Thus is's possible to put part of the customisation into speed and the rest into other stats.
I personally would try to cap damage, gun has good speed already and with the modified speed of 1.31 you won't see any noticeably improvement by a speed slice.
What i also find fascinating is that people generally disregard the chance of critical hit slice. Remember, if your gun suddenly has a 10% chance of critical strike, you'll do double damage every tenth shot in average. In effect we're speaking of a 10% of damage increase, just not steadily spread over all attacks but comming in packages.
Doing nothing else but putting 10% critical hit on this gun will result in an effective maximum damage of 1162 max. damage. (Won't be displayed like that but in effect it works like that...)

Oki, guess you got a point in that. Though, that's the same reason i keep my guns unsliced at the moment, i hope to this gets fixed soon. (Why burn heaps of credits, krayt tissueand perhaps even an ADK on a gun and the use a second grade slice on it if the better slice perhaps is available onemonth later? )
It's probably because critical shot chance is bugged and only works on lairs.
