Thread: New to profession, looking for info

Hiya! I'm new to the carbineer profession, only just aquired novice a day ago. I've talked to a few people about carbines and general, and believe I have some well crafted carbines at present. What I would like to know is how to get better ones. I know rarely one will drop as loot and also that krayt tissues, or something, can be used. Can someone go over all the things I can do to get closer to aquiring one of the best Carbines out there! :-)
By the way, off the top of my head, these are the carbines i own: ah, scratch that, I'm loading the game and I'll get the exact stats:
Laser Carbine - AS 4.2 min 90 max 363 ideal +48@50m HAM costs 74, 91, 68 sliced Dam
DXR-6 Carbine - AS 2.5min 139 max 210 ideal +66@ 22m HAM costs 45, 61, 38 sliced Speed
EE3 Carbine - AS 2.4 min 148 max 299 ideal +66@ 27m HAM costs 54, 48, 34 sliced Dam
Elite Carbine - AS 3.1 min 171 max 279 ideal +76@ 27m HAM costs 45, 61, 39 sliced Dam
Also, I picked up 4 identical precision tuned weapon scopes wound 20, ideal 25, HA cost 25, M cost 20 are theses any good,. if not, what stats on one would be good.
Btw, all the stats are unmodified by powerups.

Welcome to carbines. Have a quick read of the stickies at the top, all the information you need is in there and put more elelgantly than i could do it.
What server are you on? a good way is to ask in trade forums who the top WS are. Then go and see browse the vendors. Good luck.

I have read the FAQ. I understand how to make weapons. What I don't know is how I collect the items necissary for a good weapon to be made. I dont' have millions so i can't just buy them or pay a huge sum to a WS to make one with their stocks. I need to find it myself. Not to mention there is more pride in a weapon that you took a major role in making.
I'm looking for advice like this. Plus it wouldn't hurt to hear a more expert opinion then mine on the quality of the weapons i currently own.

Until you get to +60 Carbine Speed or higher, all those weapons are horribly SLOW.....you need SPEED SPEED SPEED.
The best Stocks are from the Imp Theme Park and Krayt Tissue comes from a Krayt 
But you have about a 0.000001% chance of killing a Krayt by yourself.....hmmmm, maybe I was overly optimistic there.....
