Ok I started playing a few months ago and as a casual player I am progressing slowly currently Carbiner 1-4-0-1 amd I have some ok guns.. But I was out hunting on endor most things there are around the level that I would say are tough for me to handle and I was killing things in area littered with these "tough creatures" all apeared red or yellow so 25-40 difficulty each takes me a few minutes to kill and then a few minutes to recover (unbuffed). A master rifle man comes along and wipes the area clean 15-20 enemies without even stopping I mean as soon as he ran up to the lair everything died and he cleared everything in the area in 30-40 seconds. As far as I can tell there is just no way for me to deal even a fraction of that damage with a carbine especialy without the ham costs landing me on my back. Now he was probably buffed a little but it didn't look like he had a mind buff. Am I missing something or is the game just that out of balance?

Well you can't compare to a Rifleman that is horribly out of balance.....

And I think the FAQ may answer most of your questions.....

Well firstly the FAQ would be a step in the right direction.

But more importantly the difference between playing buffed and unbuffed is incredible. That rifleman was probably buffed and able to mash out a special every second with his broken speed mod. Compared to you as a carbineer unbuffed, can probably do 2-3 before you are looking at 3 white HAMbars. And those specials will infinitely slower with only 1 box of the Assualt Tactics (the speed tree) It basically comes down to this that rifleman probably left off 30-40 specials in that time frame, whereas you were only able to get a few off. Given equal condition iconsider carbines to be the strongest PvE ranged class (seconded only to Swordsman AoE). The only problem is the equal conditions component. Most of the broken combat classes can get everything their class has to offer simply from getting the master box, carbines aren't that lucky though.

You are don't do anything wrong per say, but buffs will definitely help out alot.

Speed kills, you should try to head up the speed tree (far left).

You need to be buffed to spam specials.

You need to be fast.
