Thread: Area attacks do work but are buggy.
I've been using area attacks a lot latley with some of my hunting groups - and it does work, however it is very buggy.
Like many people have stated - it will only hurt things that are currently aggro to you. Thus if you open up with the attack, it will hit only 1 target, but aggro the rest.
I was hunting Klikniks at their temple on Yavin and was unloading with Full Auto Area 1. Worked pretty nicley, damage around 400-700 per enemy, and I was hitting about 4-6 at the same time. The only downside is the HAM cost is about 150(approx) and it chewed their my action in no time flat.
So basically, use these if your in a big group taking on lots of mobs, just sit in the back and unload.
However be carefull, you can aggro mobs that you dont intend to fight if they are close by, and you will burn through your HAM very fast.
