Thread: ranged support ... do I need it for carbeener ?

Im wondersing if the ranged supprt on the right side of the marksman skill tree is important for carbeener. A carbine shows up as a ranged weapon so Im not sure. Im trying to free up some skill points for oher things.

i never invested in range support 4 cause i have action shot2, but some of those are nice to have

The defense mods, are good to have..... and yes they do work not very well but they do.

Warning shot is invaluable in PVE or against CH pets in PVP. Shoot afew at a critter and peace out and they're gone away.

I'll echo the effectiveness of warning and panic shot. I skipped ranged 4 since I've got actionshot1 and decided I'd rather get fullautoarea faster (yay, good decision), and those posture changing moves are stupidly useless as far as I can tell, but panic and warning are worth it.

I have ranged support because I have a character that's a combat medic as well as a carbineer...but I would recommend it, at least ranged support3 so you can get warning shot.

If your going all the way to master carbineer, skip ranged support 4 until you have carbine spec. ab. 3. The reason for this is that charge shot 2 is broken.

sup shot i use almost religiously,
being chased in pvp by some one who is going to kill u if they catch u? supshot
got a mob closing in fast and u need to pull off one more shot so they dont hit u? supshot
pesky melee mobs wacking on ya and u want them to stop? supshot
its a good line and i love all the specials in it!
