I've been using both, and although cripple shot does a little more dmg on average, burst shot is noticeably faster. Shouldn't cripple shot be a better skill? Does this happen to anybody else?

cripple shot is better I believe.... but takes longer yes, but all depending on the range of the carb you are using anyways.

I'm not dabble'ing in the BH carbine line, so yeah I prefer burst shot over cripple aswell. The delay on attacks with cripple is simply too long, as I can get 2 burst shots or fullautosingles off in the time it takes to fire one crippling shot.

Cripple does more damage and costs more ham but fires about a second slower. DPS is about the same using either so burst1 ends up being a better shot unless you think you can kill with 1 cripple shot. Burst2 is useless.

I got 3 words for you...

Scatter Shoot 2. Beats both cripple and BS2 for sure.

Crippling Shot (x7.5 mod) has a second more delay or so, yes, but it can hit higher than Burst Shot 1 (x5 mod). This is really noticeable when you get updated laser carbs. Example, max damage on a burst shot will be 1350 on a 270 max (no ap bonus) while it could be 2040 or so with Crippling shot. However, over time, burst shot could do more damage faster. As for Scatter 2, the mod for that is somewhere around x7. And while it's almost as powerful as Crippling Shot, it usually spreads out it's damage between two bars or more. However, Scatter Shot 2 is around the speed of Burst Shot 1 and actually costs less HAM. For when you can get it, Burst Shot 1 is probably the best to go if you don't already have scatter 2 or crippling shot and are around the speed cap.
