Thread: Help out a new carbineer....please

It's hard to define which of our skills "work". Most of our skills will do something - although its either something that is something it shouldnt do to our knowledge, doesnt do something it should do, or just is wacky.
Crippling shot works perfectly for example. It says it does a lot of damage and it does.
Action shot 2 says it's a bleed.. but it does posture change and its area, but the bleed isnt area. So its kinda wonky. Action shot 1 is a bleed and posture change too I think, same problem.
Charge shot 1 works in that its a ranged knockdown, but it also has no timer, and knocks a target down even if they resist it(although for a very very short duration in that event).
Scatter Shot 1 & 2 dont display correct damage, but work as they should
Wild Shot 1 & 2 work, although their usefullness is in question.
Burst Shot 1 works, Burst shot 2 .. doesnt do anything different than burst shot 1.
Supression Fire2 works I believe, but its largley useless.
Full Auto(area and single, all of them) work except they dont apply their dizzy state correctly. As well all area attacks are wonky in that they only hurt things that are currently aggroed towards you.
Charge shot 2 = broken.
Leg shot 3 = broken.
I think that's all of them.
Go up either Marksmanship(accuracy) or Assault Tacitcs(speed) first. Then do counterinsurgency. You'll be working on special abilites even after all your carbine skills are done(since its combat XP).
Aram made quite a concise sum of the profession. Only thing to add really, is to take a good supporting class. Doctor is popular, Combat Medic is a good addition, Bounty Hunter for the carbine line to stack with your Carbineer skills. Creature Handler is kind of a toss up, as some players can burn pets down without too much trouble, and PvE, pets tend to stop fighting if you don't send them in first. Nothing worse than watching your pet stand around and observe the scenery as your enemy casually walks up and deals the deathblow.
Other than that, expect to die a lot. Harsh, but it's the truth. Ask around, you'll see.
