Thread: How well does +80 counter attack work?
Despite the fact that counterattack is, for the moment at least, a fancy dodge, it does seem to work, and the bonuses are being increased. So as a defenseless BH, it's not a bad idea to pick up that line for the bonus; +80 will definitely be enough to be significant in combat. I'ma BH on another server, and if I thought he could live without novice medic and ch, I'd pick up carb for the defense (pistoleer would work too, but carbines are just cooler).

well i was thinkg about the dodge line in pistol, but better attack if i pick up the carb line. I am just stuck i guess on what to put the reamaining points into

counterattack = dodge, it's just renamed so you can't stack the effects of both skill trees. In any case, I find the defense to be not worth the skill points. *shrug*
Some recent testing on some of the other forums has been showing that the active defenses + modifiers only works when using the weapon type that gives the defense. NOTE: Anyone can still counterattack. Any character, even a novice dancer only, has a base ~3% chance of counterattack. (this is from some other testing). Itseems all the active defense + modifiers are now weapon specific [1handed swords/ pistols - dodge, counterattack - 2 handed swords/Carbines, dodge - rifle/pike]
