I was talking with some players who played back in beta. And as intresting it as it was to here how play actions shape games I heard this very disturbing thing from them. That carbine based skills had there ham costs servery raised to compensate for people spamming knock down attacks. Now the first thing asa player I think when I here that is yeah right who would think that, everyone knows how easy it is to get buffs that make ham a non factor. But I also know that a lot of dev fixes arent exactly in tune with the game. I belive this is because after dealing with this thing all day the last thing the devs want to do is play star wars galaxies. I know I have seen other beta players who claim that carbine costs have always been super high. Can any beta players tell me what they remember?

Also if this is true what does it mean to us? I mean while charge shot is nice but should are whole class pay the price for one skill? I had untill now just assumed that the speed we were missing was an oversight of the devs and that someday (right after they fix the DEs ) they would fix it. I mean every other class hits ot gets very close to the speed cap why not us?Our needing buffs to spam cripple shot at once a second doesnt bother me. The idea that we have such high ham costs not because they forgot to speed cap us but because it was there first attempt to handle knockdown spam is bothersome.

Your thoughts and coments. Please keep it civil, ranting and having fits wont help us if a dev should stumble in here and read this.

Back in a few months, tired of waiting for the changes that should have been part of the game at launch.

ive been using carbines since late beta and i specifically recall using my little dh17 snubnose (which was wildly innacurate) over my other carbines simply because i was killing myself using specials with everything else. thus i was kicking more a$$ with an AR0, poor accuracy carbine than i was with a 'superior' carbine.

im pretty sure ham has always been a big carbine issue.
