Thread: PvP Tatics
As a Carbineer, Crippling, Suppression, and Charge Shot are your friends against melee professions. Your job, regardless of how good a tank you may think you are, is to keep them away from you.
Make them heal so much they cant attack by causing godly dps to them
When they run out of mind or force or both....Knock em down and finish em off.
Im a Master Carbineer, and Im proud of it, but Im not so hot a pvp, I use charge shot and all that but i still have a tough time with winning a fight against lower levels, im level 65 by the way, i wanted to know if 65 is a level for acually having a good pvp fight.
Low health might be an issue... the remaining 15 levels will still improve upon that a bit. You can up to some degree compensate with health enhancers in your armour and some foods, but it still can make the difference.
Then, how good are your armours? My best laugh i had when duelling two BHs who both didn't wear leg armour. (A greatidea vs. somebody who has legshot as default attack...)But even when wearing armour, if it has low protective values, you will notice that a lot. Check your armour, get something better if it's of low protection. (5.5k on energy and kinetic are the absolute minimum for PvP in my eyes... that's still not good, but at least gives you a chance. Other people will probably tell you that the minimum is higher, but i personally won duels with armour of that quality.)
Next, do you have healing abilities? If yes, do you use them early enough? Do you have stimpacks and do you use those early enough? Do you combine them with ruby bliel? Inform yourself about that stuff, use it wisely.
Furtheron, do you use foods to power you up? There's some good threads on what food to use in combat. Even if your enemy doesn't use it, or only uses them little, 15 levels more give him more speed, accuracy and health and he perhaps got better armours. Food then is your chance to compensate. Inform yourself of what's available and when to use what. Experience is the best teacher here.
I hope that this at least gives you some hints on how to improve... though, i'd advise to get to lv. 80, will help a lot when going for PvP.
