I have finally got a anti decay kit trying to decide which of these Carbs is best for pvp an all. I know the proton is a viable weapon as are all 3 however with the best slice possible on each of the 3 an the proper PUP which one should I use the kit on? I like the skill mods on the greivous so leaning towards it but any input? Which would be the best slice per gun?

agreed, a good set of krayt tissues and an experienced ws followed by a nice slice will make a far better weapon than any loot. personally i would use a crafted weap even if it was slightly less than the loot ones, as i support our crafters.

a set of 4 180 tissues will come out with a mk2 e11 not disimilar to my own. capped sac, capped max damage and a 12% speed slice. any thing over 180 is a bonus and will allow a little more experimentation in accuracy but with master carbs/bh my accuracy is thru the roof anyway.

that said the proton carb is nice and i do kind of like the clone carb from boba fet as it is the only weap ive seen that fires a blue laser......would be nice if they let ws change things like that (or smugglers) after all ship weapons can be changed i think

Nope, ship weapon effectscan't be changed. We can craft either red or green blasters. The only time the beam type/color comes into play is when reverse engineering. The RE'd weapons will have the look of the first weapon we put into the RE tool.

I have a proton now, its sliced for lvl 3 damage and lvl 1 speed/critical hit. With a pup it has 1080 max dmg which hits nice, but the SAC remains at 85 which is too high for the speed i can fire it even fully action buffed. If you add even a small SAC pup, the accuracy takes a big hit since it starts with zero accuracy bonus, so you end up with -10 to -20 accuracy or worse.

If you can get 4 high (170ish) kryat tissues theres no question, go for an E11 MKII. Have the WS cap it on SAC (should be 73 I think) and damage (1065) . You then have the option of slicing for speed (since most points would have been spent on damage and SAC the speed will be a little high) or if you feel you fire it fast enough with a 2.5 base speed (thats the area it will come out at) you can add some critical hit slices.

Once its complete you can then pup it for even lower SAC (there will be a positive accuracy bonus on an E11 so you wont have to worry about negatives) or if you're happy with 73 SAC add a dmg pup

with a good set of tissues you can easily surpass the stats on both of the loot weapons you mentioned. My elite is 431-1062 dmg and a sac of 82, with a 12% speed slice it has a base dps of 375 and a mod dps of 575. using a sac pup to get the sac down to 67. if I put a speed pup on it the dps is 887 and I fire 1 time every second according to the combat log. so I assume that means I am speed capped or darn close to it.

I would adk my bestweapon and then when I got a better one, destroy it to retrieve the adk. Protons can easily be bought on the market, and Grievance striker is equally as easy to obtain. I would not think twice about destroying one of them to retrieve an adk.

I would say ADK your best weapon. But for the love of Shiva dont ADK a damn Grievous. Those things are really not hard to get and the stats are not spectacular. Dont get me wrong, I carry a grievous, as does any carbineer I know because of the range on it. But I only use it for specific situations where range is of extreme importance, or to pull an enemy in.

My tidbit to add here:

I don't recommend the Grievous Striker since it has high SAC cost for a Carbine. Not worth the extra range cost, considering Carbineers have the potential for very fast attacks.

As others have stated on the thread already, a well made Elite or E11 Mk.II Carbine easily surpasses these loot / reward Carbines.

However, to get a top of the line one of these crafted Carbines, it WILL cost you alot of credits.

With this in mind, the Proton Carbine is a very viable Carbine to have as your primary Energy Carbine. Why?
+ The quest to get it is VERY easy and quick.
+ If you have some money to burn, a Proton Carbine can be purchased relatively "cheap" nowadays.
+ The stats of the Proton are still respectable. Good overall damage and decent SAC. The only big negative is a lack of an Accuracy Bonus.
+ Not expensive like a top-of-the-line E11 Mk.II or Elite Carbine.

my striker is 688-1201 sliced and puped....just for something to go by. Plus the 10 acc and melee def.

*and I also never have a prollum with sac...i think mine is(100*). And I'm very fast firing every second only skipping a second every 3-4 shots.
