Thread: DH17 Snubnose Carbine
I currently use this weapon most people say I am nuts. But look at the stats and try for yourself.
Has a Speed of 1.7 (speed sliced)
Dmg is about 65-165
HAMs are about 25-28-18
I am not positive on the stats as I am not in game. I was just wondering if anyone else does or has used this weapon and why you do or dont anymore?
I have one that does 91-220, sliced for damage, and 2.6 speed. I use it more than any other weapon. I can actually use specials without killing myself with it!
You guys got some mean snubs there
I used a sliced snubnosed too for a long time. It was good, but not super. Then I switch to a EE3 that was a bit better. Yesterday I bought my first elite, 83-165 sliced to 2.4 speed. Works for me. ![]()
The snubs are great...I have an awesome one myself. They are awesome on the beginning planets. However they just dont cut it long term. Even with the big damage, remember an Ar1 mob will cut the damage in half. An Ar1 mob with 20% resist will have you doing only 30% of damage. Almost everything has some energy resist which cuts your damage down alot.
You also have to note that scout blasters can be made really high damage these days...but you dont see the pistoleers using them do you? They go for heat damage...energy resist is just all too common.
Yes it's a very nice weapon. I use it as a combo with my Laser. But i would not only use one.
For example, yesterday i was tanking dewbacks with my pet and kneeling at 50m with the laser, was doing 750 points legshots.
But since i'm still only 1,0,0,0, i miss a lot on pointblank especially while moving i prefer the subnose when navigatingclose the the creatures like when i train babies. I site at ideal range from the creature, send the level 1 or level 2 baby them kill immediatly the creature in 1 shot before the baby get killed. With the laser, i used to miss that technique 1/5 so the baby could get killed and need more healing. (My laser is slow, it's powerfull but slow 3.6 53/335, w/powerup about 62/453)
Anyway first time i write something here but despite all the problems about this profession, i love it.
