People will think I am crazy, but I say 1334 Carbineer with 3400 BH and Novice Medic. Personally I will be going after BH after I get bored with CH, but I won't be a Jedi Hunter
so I can keep more Carbineer.
First tree, going up Assault/Speed is a total waste of time. Once you get above 90 Carbine Speed everything hits the 1.0 Speed Cap. With this template you hit +90 and any Carbine 4.0 weaponspeed and faster will cap on every Carbineer Special. Now ScatterShot2 would be nice, but ScatterShot1 will work just fine for you as some other things are more important.
Second tree, I would like to see max Marksmanship/Accuracy, but I believe with Publish 7 that our other fixed Specials will be more important. Your Accuracy will be +145 so you will be hitting near 100% of the time every second ![]()
Third tree, needs to go to BurstShot2 to get a SWEET AoE, high damage shot that currently is NOT in your bag of tricks. This is the REAL LOVE the Devs are giving us in Publish 7, not the Dizzy ![]()
Fourth tree, I will recommend ChargeShot2, AoE KD, if it works as advertised. If not then the 4th Tier would be better used in Accuracy at 1433. FullAutoArea2 is an awesome AoE State shot with medium damage.
While 4440 is great, you don't need the extra Speed and the Defensein the 4th Tier would be nice, but the FIXED Specials are much more important.

Well i don't want to make the desicion for you, but i can give you a run down of the trees and let you decide for yourself.
X000 Carbine Assualt Tactics
- This tree contains our speed mods, with your BH you will be able to cap your speed very quickly and be able to focus on getting a high damage carbine with no concerns on the weapon speed
- /scattershot2, personally my favourite PvP skill since about 9 out 10 it lands hits on the mind pool but with the addition of the new chef food not as good, and make no mistake, this skill doenst even compare to /headshot3
- /wildshot2, a fairly reliable attack that will stun your target.
0X00 Carbine Marksmanship
- Accuracy mods ... need i say more, i will anyways, accuracy if you plan on fighting any kind of decent PvP template you *will* need it.
- /crippleshot, this is our highest damage special at 7.5x. It damages a random pool. The only thing is this isn't our highest DPS skill, butif you have yourspeed capped, who cares?
- /legshot3, a bugged attack that attacks the action pool of your target, sometime stuns. Right now function exactly as /legshot2 from the marksmen tree. Will be fixed in Publish 8 to have increased damage.
00X0 Carbine Counterinsurgency
- This is basically our defence tree, as a carbineer wealso get our counterattack in this tree,at master in PvE i notice i counterattack about 1 in4 hits.Not too shabby, not too great.
- /burstshot1 and /burstshot2both these specials are great. /burstshot1 you get right away and is 6.0x, as well the HAM costs are distributed fairly evenly across the three pools, which makes it amuch more HAM friendly skill, whereas using /crippleshot while unbuffed with anything but a perfect carbine can result in upwards of 300 damage on your action. /burstshot2 is like /burstshot1 except is AoE (after the new patch), dont know how many groups of Jedi are dumb enough to crowd together though. But useful none the less.
- /supressionfire2, this is aposture downattack similar to the attack you get atRanged Support 4 in the marksmen tree, usefulfor slowing the advance of melee proffessions in PvP.
000X Carbine Special Abilities
- Accuracy While Moving, decent ability, althoughs for some mobility in combat which is always helpful.
- /fullautoarea2 and/fullautosingle2 with the advent of the new patch both these skills will add dizzy, stun, and blind to the target, although it should be mentioned it will take about 3-4 hits per state, so you are looking at 9-12 shots to get all 3, and then add in Doctor's and defence's against said states. A very nice bonus but IMO hardly something to rely on. /fullautosingle2 is our highest DPS special, based soley on damage mult vs. reload time.
- /chargeshot1 and /chargeshot2 our KD's, /chargeshot2 is AoE and currently is not functioning properly, the devs have assured our correspondent that it is a known issue and will be functioning correctly for publish 8 (not 7), /chargeshot functions correctly with the timer.
When reading this also keep in mind the skills you get at Novice Carbineer, they are /actionshot2 (an AoE Posture Down and Action Bleed) as well as /fullautosingle2 (I included this skill under Special Abilities since it's use and description fit with that tree).
Hope this helps. Also we should see what we can do about getting a sticky post with this type of information because it seems we are getting alot of questions like these lately, especially with the upcoming patch.
Actually at the speed cap, CrippleShot is our Max DPS shot.
AND, ChargeShot2 is fixed on TC for Publish 7 - hopefully this week to LIVE![]()
I would agree that 4440 is your best option. This gives you ungodly speed and acruacy when coupled with BH Carb 4, as well as the best specials: Scatter Shot 2, Crippling Shot, Burst Shot 1 (and soon 2 ![]()
And some defenses too. The only reason to get the special abilities row is for Dizzy/KD, which you have from BH.
I'm not sure wht you're doing with the remaining 26 (if i'm not mistaken) skill points, but i would probably get Carbine special abilities 2 seeing as Charge shot is slightly more reliable i think, and medic 0100 (i personally can't live without medic).
