Thread: whats so good about carbineer?
Me personally i like carbineer. I get lots of different types of guns to play with and the damage i do with them isnt so bad. heck if i use a power up i can get a 4k hit with my laser carbine. imho I think the guy just had the bad image of carbineer to start with and nothing we say will change his mind. If carbineer is sooooo bad dont do it. oh yeah the best attack would have to be burst shot 1, just as good as fas2 but not as hard on the ham bars. cripple shot KICKS ARSE too.

Hey Clonecenter-resident. You are making it seem worse than it is. I'm soloing Gnorts all the time. Thanks to being a Master Combat Medic as well I once managed to take down a Massive Gnort, I've got screenies to prove it.
So don't you go around painting us Carbs as wusses. I totally own the plains around Theed and I'm positive that come publish 7 it will be possible for a group of 3 Master Carbs to take down an entire nest of flewts or maybe even Chubas.
B)Elite for PvP... Laser is ok, but has too large of a damage range for myself. Also, you want speed slices. Your gonna be damn slow otherwise.
C)Only one prof gets AP3... rifleman. So consider AP2 to be a nice thing. I kill krayts with a measly AP2 power hammer or scythe...
D)With the upcoming changes in publish 7, Carbineer will be closer to being the equal of rifleman in PvP an PvE alike. Pistoleer just sucks ass now and will suck even more ass then.
lol. c'mon...please. Carbineer is a perfectly decent profession, and will be a great profession after publish 7. I'll admit its no TKA, but you can do pretty damn well with it. I do. To respond to your questions-
A: Burst Shot 1, grantedat counterinsurgency 1, is great. use this for the majority of grinding. Crippling Shot and Scatter Shot 2 are very good as well. (for more info on specials check out Novamarine's stickied post).
B: Laser carbine is my personal favorite. There are soom good elites out there, but they are kinda hard to find. An EE3 is useful to have around for when you need heat damage or a faster gun.
C: Give me a break. no you're not gonna be able to solo a Krayt.... Sorry. And BTW there is nothing measley about AP2, only the T21 has a higher AP. Most professions would kill for there guns, Swords, ect tohave medium AP.
D: Maybe its Karma. But IMHO having to master carbineer is not unlucky at all 
Anyway if you hate carbineer so much, grind as fast as you can and drop it. Easy.

Leave him be Arias.....the more he thinks we suck the more quickly he'll drop it as soon as he's done. Personally, I want to keep all the fotm'ers as far away from us as possible. Im my book Flavor Of The Month = Nerf Of The Next Month. So let him be deluded into thinking we suck, have always sucked, and will always suck. Judging by the tone of his post he has already made up his mind that he hates carbines and I don't think we could convince him otherwise even if we tried and/or wanted too.
As to the original poster, you are absolutely right, just grind through it and drop it like a bad habit. Go back to your uber class with your uber guns and leave us in peace please. Don't remind us of the pain we cause ourselves daily by logging in to get killed by blue con mobs. Its hard enough trying to do everything solo so noone else can see our shame. This is our one place of solace where we can come and be comforted by fellow masochists. Where we lie to ourselves and each other daily by saying things such as "it isn't so bad" and "we'll get fixed one of these days" or "just you wait, one day all of our specials will work and then we will be the uber crowd control class we've always dreamed of" or my personal favorite "great, just great, they're fixing us..now we're gonna be the FOTM and get nerfed back into uselessness." Remember everything good you read on this board is a lie and everything bad is minimalized to make it seem better than it actually is. When one of us says "hurrah!! I soloed a nightsister today!!" what he really means is that he soloed a nightspider. Do not be misled by others saying we are not that bad off, they are trying to lure you into a trap, remember young jedi, misery loves company.

Awww poor Thunderello........you have to grind through Carbines.......boo hoo! Perhaps you should have uninstalled the game and spare us your incursive whining. What kind of reaction do you expect to get by spouting this garbage on the Carbineer forum? You are the one that decided to do the holo grind so don't whine about the profession you get from it and especially don't bring your whining in here where we actually chose to become carbineers.
Oh and I find it so funny that you said you would have preferred to have either pistols or rifles but then you complain about the laser carbine only having AP2 so you can't kill a krayt dragon, well ever had a look at the AP of pistols???
