Thread: Carbine with launcher?

How about this, we get a new carbine/assault rifle same thing basically. I mean we are the guys supposed to be the grunts with the AK´s FAMAS and such. This carbine could do 2 damage types Enegery/blast, acid/blast or whatever/blast.


Now with this carbine we could get a new special called....:fire grenade or something like that The special would of course be HAM intensive. When the special is used the carbine fires a grenade/rocket/whatever from under the barrel. During normal fire/any other special it would just use the primary damage.


If this does´nt work, could´nt they make carbines with limited use to the blast damage? Like they have limited uses on Poison for the E11 or whatever it is that has poison.


Now this is a kickass idea.......I think Who agrees?

i totaly love that idea. just make it slow, so its not overpowered, but decent damage))

Precisely I´m not talking about some super uber overpowered thing here, it´s slow, takes a lot of HAM to get one off. Happy to have one comment Please guys more, I thought this would be something you´d all really like.

I slipped this idea intoa post in here a couple weeks ago! Glad to see an audience for it!


I based my comments off the fact that I used an M16 (which is a carbine) in the Amry and had a 203 attachment on it.


If you dont know what a 203 is, its a single round grenade launcher that sits under the barrel which you have to reload after firing one time (which would account for a fair delay).


I think its a great idea, I mean we can all use grenades anyway right? Why not make a few special grenades that would be cool for the carbineer?


We can do smoke grenades which could blind a crowd, incindiary grenades, which could do a flame dot, and gas grenades for another effect. Im sure we can use other types of grenades too, if the Devs allow it that is.


All in the name of crowd control!

Oh I know! I love your/everyone's idea of a GL too.


But come on, people are gonna say, "They finally fixed your specials to make them what they should've been months ago...isn't that enough?!"


But a GL...*drool* look at grenades already tho...lol

I know we got the specials fixed and I did´nt mean I wanted this in publish 7 or anything, just that it would be a good idea for the combat revamp in which the Art guy(can´t remember his name) promised lots of weapons(hopefully even some carbines ) Plus it would be a good compromise, since one of our biggest concerns are the lack of damage types carbineers do. The carbine I suggested would help this alot by having two damage types in one carbine for example Stun/Blast, Cold/Blast or Whatever/Blast.

I know what a 203 is That´s what I was imagining for this idea, some sort of built in launcher underneath the barrel.


The smoke idea is very cool too, with a blind effect.

but seriously a GL type of weapon, even a one that used ammo from you, would be nice add on... Meaning how hard could it be to make it require a loading action before using it (like droids and batteries)

Only reason I suggest a Bayonet is well....history shows that upclose melee destroyed ranged opponents.


Which is why Ranged opponents developed the bayonet to defend against Cavalary charges.
