Thread: Yet another new RIFLE next patch i hear.

This is realy starting to pis me off now. They get at least one new pistole and rifle each patch...we got jack. Nova....think you can find a nice way to point out how our weapon selection sucks to the devs and the fact that we have only 2 more carbines sence launch...one being the dot on an already low end weapon and the other being a looted weapon (nyms) wich sucks compaired to a well crafted DXR6.


If they were not fixing our specials i wouldent even think the devs new we were here.

I completely agree mate, its ridiculous. All we got is the DoT E11 which only has 1000 uses and is **edit** anyway...D'oh


What we really freakin' need is a NEW CARBINE WITH STUN DAMAGE!!!!

first let me say thanks to nova for all the work he has done in getting our specials fixed


now let me TOTALLY agree that the selection for carbines is about as limited as the selection for speeders.


it would be nice to see:


a well builtstun carbine


an electric carbine


a cold carbine


these in addition to the ones we have would at least bring us up to par with rifle...well not up to par with, but in the same ballpark...well not in the same ballpark but perhaps at least the same zip code as riflemen.

I think you have it all wrong... we don't need to be uped... riflemen need to be downed. Yes, I AM crying nerf! But you all know it needs to happen. Even in GC when I sayed Riflemen were overpowered, the riflement went "no they aren't!" and everyone else said "... come on man, you know they are..." and then silence, lol.

The rifle is to lessen the speed cap for them.

uhh i hate to kick you guys while your down, but rifleman are getting a blast damage rifle also (berserker) as a new quest reward from the corellian corvette. what are the devs thinking? a blast damage rifle will rip apart an atst in a few seconds....


not to mention turrets

Guys, guys, dont fret. You see, they are only adding new weapons to try and soften the devestating blow they are going to deal to riflemen in publish 8. Rumor has it (and I only post rumors when they come from the lips--err fingertips of a the DEVs) that they will be getting a 3 second cap. Thus changing them from the heavy gunner profession that they are into a more of a sniping prof. We'll all suffer through riflemen for another publish, then we'll never have to worry about them again. Also, most armor today has HUGE resistances to blast and kinetic damage, its not a big deal, but yes, it will render commandos pretty much useless when it comes to destroying turrets. Once they fix riflemen, I hope they get cracking on combat medic, because its starting to piss me off...849 wounds in one tick...::end of nerf cry::

which dev said that? how can you add a 3 second firing cap without upping damage/range or accuracy?

They aren't upping Accuracy, but they are lowering defense. With /aim, i see very few misses in the future in PvP. Also, no Dev has said that. Its just a 'rumor'.

Devs already said that one of the TKAsflaws are limited damage types. I bet carbineers get a stun gun long before TKAs get a single new weapon.

thread creep.... big time. i don't think anyone here meant for this to becomea discussion about riflemen


the idea was Riflemen are getting a new weapon so it would be nice if we could get another as well. AT LEAST one.


anyone have any ideas as to what type of carbines they would like to see introduced?
