Thread: So which support role is better and why...
do both....get the ability to cure poison/disease and buff yourself....then get enough CM throw some mind poison on ppl....today i was having difficulty getting people down. it was taking me a good 3-4 minutes in duels as a Master Carbineer/Master Doc...so tonight i'll grab some poison throwing ability and use up all that spider venom i have stocked up ![]()
Unless you know a dedicated Doctor I would suggest you go Doc. Being a doc is so sweet with the ability Buff.
If your're into PvP Combat Medic has it perks but for PvE its not worth the skill points invested.
Doctor is t3h l337.
Why?Can cure anything a CM does and with Stun Resistant armor and Preformer buffs you will never die.
Master Carbineer / Master Combat Medic here
There are some advantages to both the CM and the Doc setup...
For me I like CM because I do a lot of grouping in my guild. No matter if we are in a PvE dungeon or in PvP near some HQ, I am the ultimate support role. I can do a fair amount of crowd control (although I think this could be a bit improved still for carbineers) and I also can area heal (invaluable).
As far as Doc goes, you can heal states poisons and diseases, that is great, and you can buff yourself, but as far as SUPPORT role goes, you are there to revive and buff and that is about it. I would imagine that the Doc/Carbineer is much more of a solo PvP template.
Personally, I think there is nothing better than forcing a charging mob to their knees, dizzying them, knocking them down then tossing an area poison/disease in on them.
If you are looking strictly for a support role, Combat Medic would be my advice for you in this particular case.
