I have read one post stating that Burstshot 2 is like the Pistoleer special Fanshot but only Better. The post did not elaborate why it was better.

Can anyone who has used both specials confirm this? I have seen my friend use fanshot and it rocks.

Hmm, I think it's a higher damage modifier, however, I prefer auto shot area 2. For it's states and the damage is similar and wildshot 2 is great for PvP. States are what make a carbineer good, not damage modifiers. So get your states on a target then kill it

Fanshot is 2.4 delay with 6.0 damage modifiers and BurstShot2 is 2.5 delay with 6.0 damage modifiers.

They are basically identical.....thus creating "balance". Although the reason BurstShot2 is better is that Carbineer is way better than Pistoleer

A carbineer can do this with an AP2 weapon as well. Pistoleers don't have as many AP options, although they do have stun.

I am a pistoleer and a carbineer (new toon new server) and I believe Burstshot2 has a status effect where as Fanshot does not. Alsodo both do ramdomHAM hits. I know Fanshot hits random HAM and has no status effect. But does not do anything for a pistoleer till master in the stance tree since that is where speed comes from. but is worthless after master with Stoppingshot being a faster dps special. But untill master healthshot1 is still the best shot for single targets with a pistoleer.

I am not sure with carbineer since im still just a novice at 1-0-0-1. If anyone wants to clearify please do.

Burstshot2 doesn't have any status effect.
