Thread: Oh man.. woe is me!

A recent weapon shop was having some sales, so I managed to snag 5 Elite Carbines for 50k (10k total.) I kept one with a 30% damage slice, and its stats are (w/ powerup) :
3.8 Speed
229-406
Just yesterday, I spent 250k on 5 +30 -0.3 tissues and another 125k on a Form-fitting scope. After reading the 'Guide to creating a PvP carbine', I figured a Krayt Elite would be a good thing to have. Sadly, I only got a 21% damage slice on it, and its stats are (w/ powerup):
2.7 Speed
109-408
Now clearly, the speed is much better, but it so happens that I'm a BH carbines 3 + Master Carbineer, and that I'm effectively firing both weapons at the same speed. Shame, isn't it? The lucky 10k carbine turns out to be actually betterthan the 400k Krayt/Form-fitted one for PvP with my template. Doh! 
Moral of the story: get a good slice 
I'm debating dropping some of Carbineer or the BH carbine line now, and dump some points into medic to use better stims....

my guild is waiting for the the smuggler patch to get all their good weapons sliced to make sure they are damage..u shoulda waited a little longer

Honestly, Krayt Tissue are a 99% waste since you are at the Speed Cap anyways. The Carbineers here love Krayt Tissue because we need speed help. They are a 100% waste for PvP when you figure in Damage Mitigation.
