Must be doing something wrong.
Charge Shot 1 works fine, knocks stuff down.
But when I use Charge Shot 2 and Full Auto Area 2 attack macro (in that order), I only hit one creature.
Tried this in a group of brackasets tonight. Single shots worked, these two autos didn't. I always hit only one creature, not the three or four that were on top of me, no matter if I used Charge Shot 1 or 2. And Full Area Auto only hit one creature, not a group of creatures.
Now I wish I hadn't gotten Charge Shot 2 or Full Auto Area 2, unless I'm missing something.
Advice?

Firstly, our cone attacks do damage only to targets currently in combat. Thus, opening with a cone attack will only damage the selected target on the first shot. Also, make sure your targets are in the cone. For more info on the size and dimensions of the cone, go read TA's info on cone testing. I believe it's in the FAQ, but perhaps it may not be. If not, do an advanced search for cone and it should turn up.
The Full Auto Area series, as well as Charge Shot 2, Burst Shot 2, and Action Shot 2 are cone attacks, not area attacks. This means that they don't do hit anything around your target, but rather they hit targets that are in the cone. Thus, the closer your target is to you, the smaller the cone gets (hopefully you understand what a cone is, I'm not really in the mood for a geometry lesson hehe
). The cone starts at the tip of your muzzle and the radius increases in the direction of your target.
As a small sidenote, I am not fully on board with calling these attacks "cone" attacks, but that is the accepted term for them at the momment. I prefer "triangular" attacks. I am fully convinced that the Z coordinate is either broken in this game, or simply not there in terms of combat. Examples include being able to shoot through hills and dungeon walls, as well as distance readouts on the radar of zero for objects directly above or below you.

The Dizzy state does not work on animal mobs or artificial lifeforms. NPCs only. Also be mindful that you've only got 30 degrees ahead of you for your "area" so if they get close, the odds become you will only hit one at a time.
Also, I continue to notice that if you target a mob that is in the middle of agroup of mobs at varying distances, you will not hit mobs closer than the one you've targeted.

Well they must be outside the Cone, because I am always hitting closer ones. In fact I often draw an aggro or two and hit the ones within 5m of me while targeting the rest at 50m. I do this all the time, so something else is causing your problem.

If you don't mind running around like a girl being chased by mice, you can kite groups of mobs with your cone attacks. When you start running, they'll all trail behind you and generally stay close together, which makes them prime targets for a nice cone attack.
Or you can just use PointBlankArea1 with your carbine.

Interesting... I was wasting wildlife on Dath the other day, I was on top of a hill shooting some nitches that were on another hill. When they would run at me or away from me, they would run down into the largecrevice seperating our two hills. While they were down there I thought I noticed they were not taking damage from my bursthot spam. I chalked it up to a glitch, but that really makes me wonder what is supposed to be happening...

I don't know. Perhaps it is me miscalculating the cone, but I swear when something runs in front of my highlighted target it stops getting hit.
