Ok so I'm thinking 0440 fencer.....master carb.......1040 medic....0040 pistols
Gives me good defenses, I can use nice cures. But my main question is, is the BH line needed to be an effective carbineer. Will I have a hard time hitting fencers. I have +20 dizzy def.....+25 carb while moving accuracy....+6 carb accuracy.+10 counterattack.

Sounds like a good template man. Hitting the fencers isn't too bad if you can land an intimidate on them, then stack the other carbine states and hit a posture down on them.
You'll have trouble with speed without the BH carbines line, so it would be worth it to invest in some skill tapes for carbine speed.

Speed, Speed and more Speed
The reason so many peope take the BH Carbs line is for the speed, there is a very detailed write up in the FAQ on speed. You should check it out. Carbineers biggest handicap isn't accuracy but the speed.
