Thread: SEAs and Carbineer Help

I searched the forums and Holocron and can't find the answer to this:

As a Master Carbineer/Master Bounty Hunter, I am looking to find out what kind of skill attachments I should be looking for.

My current Skill Mods are:

Carbine Accuracy - 200

Carbine Accuracy While Moving - 30

Carbine Aiming - +25/+29

Carbine Speed - 115

I believe I am capped on speed and no SEAs will make me faster. Can I increase the Accuracy Mod, Accuracy While Moving, and Aiming? I realize Accuracy and Aiming don't really help against Jedi (only speed), but I would like to be as competitive as possible in PvP.

You cap Speed in the low 90's....as stated in the FAQ.

There are no hard caps on the other 3.....but clothing/armor mods are limited to +25.

The 2 accuracy mods will help of course, but are almost overkill. I'd personally stash them until we get more info if they're useful for the Revamp or not.

Same here. If you can get your hands on Carbine SEAs at a relatively good/low price, then go for it. But as mentioned above, you probably won't notice a visible difference going from 200 to 225 Carbine Accuracy, etc.

Invest your money in high damage krayt tissues and hope for a good damage slice. A Master Carbineer/Master BH's arsenal of weapons is far more valuable than stacking attachments. Defense attachments would be good.. but considering your low defenses, I'm not even sure if +25 to def. vs. blind, stun, dizzy, etc would even make that big of a difference either. Anything under 40-50 is usually not even worthwhile.

Maybe the only one really worth getting is CounterAttack.. since that's pretty high already. (105 I think?)

Buy DoT carbines if you can manage, too. They will be of far better use to you.

thanks for all the help. From reading your advise, I'll get some SEA for accuracy if I can find them for a decent price. Instead I'll focus on Krayt tissues for Laser Carb?

Getting a good Krayted Laser Carbine and DXR6 would be optimal, yup. The Laser Carbine will be your best bet for most encounters, but the DXR6 has its moments (due to its closer damage spread and acid-type damage), both in PvP and PvE.

There's a thread dedicated to the discussion of the pros and cons of either carbine, but don't settle for anything but both.

Focus of course on getting high damage krayt tissues instead of low speed ones.. you'll need 4 identical ones for a Laser and 6 identical ones for a DXR6.

Carbine Accuracy while Moving is usually the first one, since its really the only one BH Carbineer doesn't touch.

Other than that, maybe some Melee Defense and Ranged Defense.
