I have finally attained, a good dot carbine, thanks to a friend However, the condition is 250ish/750. Would it be wise to repair it? I mean what if it broke? Would the dot still be useable, if it is, here is the issue. (in case after combat revamp, or if it does still work, then either way i cant lose, if i repair and it works, then i have a nice dot carbine, and if it breaks, no loss, the dot will still work,) please help a worried rodian marauder.

A normal repair will leave you with 600 condition. An exceptional repair will probably leave you around 700-720 or so.

The Devs say the % chance of a failed repair doesn't increase until the condition is at 25%, so you could go ahead and repair it.

The DoT will continue to work after a failed repair, but it is a known exploit and will get the item deleted and you in serious trouble if you use it after a failed repair.

i wouldnt bother repairing it just yet... if your just using it to stick dots, it wont decay very fast at all

don't risk a repair...all you need are those uses...
