Just throw poisons and try and kd/dizzy. You'll need +25in speed tapes and some FS melee speed in order to use carbineer for damaging. But tbh, just throw poison's lol...

The FAQ lists the Specials in all their glory
With SEA's and FS Melee Speed (for now since Ranged is bugged) you can get to +97 Carbine Speed that will make up for all speed lost by giving up BH Carbs. But a Carbineer/CM should only be using CM in PvP

Well, i would like to say that i was a master carbineer, master combat medic for 5months. And in my experience, yes this is a good combo (area heals, area poison, area pd, area kd, area state attacks, area damage attacks) I would say that this a a pure nugget of gold for a pvp group. You can really make the differance in a fight. (seriously) But with this template you will have carbineer, and cm defense (basikly none) so stick behind your comrades, toss those states, pd, kd, throw some deadly viles once in a while (not to often though, well you can, but in my experience if you run in a fight, chucking poisons, you have no defenses and noone likes to eat what you give them
so you will be targeted first.) and make sure to hit your group with area heals to keep them on their feet. As TA and the others said, you can pick up some fs skills and that can definitely make the differance. (speed, accuracy) I personally used spidervenom action poisons and diseases (people would be surprised when i would hit them with a nasty action poison, and usually theyd have all the combat specials qued, and this would drain their action for me
hit them wiht a disease so they can't regenerate it back (mmm action spidervenom....) and use legshot3 and actionshot1 and some fullauto's (alternating of course between them so legshot3, legshot3, fullautosingle2, actionshot1, fullautosingle2, (ok now the target is flopping, and actionbleeding,) hit them with legshot3 (youll do more action damage this way on a kd target) throw action poison, actionshot2, fullautosingle2, throw disease. Well you get the idea. However these things i did they worked for me, so not the same for everyone,
(pvpwise at least
) And as far as pve goes or dueling, yeah id say just because you have the power to chuck some nasty poisons, /shrug idk, i always used just my carbine, (well, unless they hit me with poison first, then thats a big mistake, as poisons are one of the mcm speciality
hope i helped a little, and sorry that this is so hard to read. /salute good luck out there

no its not m8 - its the specials aswell as the speed thats important - without the specials pvp becomes hard unless ur a def stacker of some sort if not unworthwhile

I am a Master Carbineer on Chilastra. A lot of good advice has already been given and I will endeavour to throw in a little more. I find the carbineer bleeds fairly inneffective so I focus on another tactic. I open up with about 4 or 5 Full Auto Singles at about 50 metres trying to induce blind, dizzy and stunned greatly reducing their ablility to attack. I try and hit them with a follow up Action shot to change posture and hope that they panic and attempt to stand...in a dizzy state they hit the deck. If they dont I always follow up with a Charge Shot anyway to put them down and then hit them with Crippling Shot; big damage on a downed target.
Hope its helped a little though not knowing anything about CM I cant offer advice on that area and how to combine it with Carbineer. Good luck!
