Please fellow carbineers, can someone explain clearly what is the difference between the Carbine Accuracy and Carine Aiming skill mods?

Is it worth investing money to buy AA of either one kind or both?

Thanks

Accuracy is definitely better than aiming.

Your accuracy is pretty much just that - an attribute that determines the rough percentage of shots being successful and hitting your target. It's a factor of your current accuracy skill modifier, any extra boosts (like SEAs, foods, weapon ideal accuracies), a random dice roll factor, and your opponent's defense mods.

The higher your Carbine Accuracy, the higher your chances are of 'landing' all your shots.

Aiming is factored only when you use the Ranged Support1 /aim command. It's a special that can be used up to 3 times simultaneously (it 'stacks') and helpsgives a temporary boost to accuracy.

Carbine Aiming SEAs are relatively worthless because few actually end up wasting precious seconds using the /aim command (there's a time and animation delay), while Carbine Accuracy SEAs are passive and directly affect your success rate.

There is also Carbine Accuracy While Moving, which is another modifier that factors your accuracy when your character is moving. While we aren't given the specifics as to what is considered "moving a lot" and just how that modifier affects your overall accuracy, it's generally agreed upon that the higher this is, the better you perform as well.

To recap, it's very useful to get Carbine Accuracy attachments, useful to get Accuracy while moving attachments, and probably useless to get Aiming attachments, unless you plan on using the /aim command (which is somewhat useful against defense stackers I guess.. but not all that great.)

/aim is good when you really need to land a state, I swear that accuracy has alot to do with whether a state lands or doesn't upon the shot landing, and the difference is noticable, I have in the neighborhood of +15 carbine aiming and +12 general ranged aiming, it's noticable against stackers for sure.

Definately not a waste, but all out accuracy is better ultimately. If you have the extra sockets though...

i use /aim when a npc is attacking me like a mauler or trade fed zealot - when im unbuffed - i stack /aim three times then do crippling shot - touch wood it always works
