Okay guys I've been reading a lot of info on this board about Carbs and I've seen some good templates, but I have some questions. I've seen some guys who keep TK boxes in with their Carb/BH template and I'm wondering how much this is going to help me. Here's my current temp:
TK - Master (4/4/4/4)
Smuggler (0/2/1/0)
Pistoleer (0/0/1/1)
Scout (2/0/2/0)
Medic (0/0/0/0)
Marksman (0/4/0/1)
Brawler (4/0/0/0) duh
So anyway, I'm looking to move this to a carbineer/BH template. I used to be BH 3/4/4/4 so I have some leftover ranged xp so I think I can get master marksman back pretty quick. I'd really like to keep my smuggler 0/0/1/0 just for the Fein Death which I find helpful. Should I abandon TK altogether, drop Pistoleer and dump all my exp into Carbs and BH 0/4/0/0 ?? Is there a reason to keep some of my TK skills for melee def or def vs. states and KD? I don't do much PvP on this character but I'd like to be able to at least have some PvP support value. Any suggestions you have would be very helpful. Thanks!!

You could try this:
0-4-0-0 BH
Master Carbineer
0-1-1-0 Smuggler
Novice Medic (or drop that and pick up some more Smuggler)

tka - xxx4 - all them nice defenses 
bh x4xx - the specials are required for pvp and speed of course
master carb - yay 
smuggler - xx1x
novice medic
melee def +64
range def +87 or something stupid lol
with a single skill point left

Can't have Novice Medic in that template.....not enough skill points....
And I wouldn't consider +64 Melee Defense worth getting.....especially without State Defenses....but +87 Ranged Defense will provide some protection.

even though you already have tk and want to keep feign death, going fencer may be better, going 34xx
gives ya some ranged and melee def and quite a bit of def vs. KD
so in the end...
master carbs
x4xx BH
34xx fencer
just like me
and have exactly 0 sp left over
