Master Riflemen/MBH/4000 CM

Better damage, same speed as carbine, and can get 54 sac with a pup.. Better armor for hunting jedi

Master Carbineer/MBH/4000 CM

Mid damage, Same speed as rifle, Lower sac.. Not as good armor

I need help deciding lol

Well carbines may do less damage than rifles, but the actual speed listed on the weapon is usually much faster. Couple thatwith lower sac, I would suggest MBH/carbineer. Remember,if you are fighting a jedi, you may need to out-last their force bar. Killing your action quickly with rifles will ruin that. Not to mention, carbineer has a better snare than rifleman, which would be important for keeping a jedi at a distance. On the armor issue, my opinion is that if you let the jedi hit you, you are dead anyways because that means you are in range.

As a full-temp Jedi, I will tell you that the two types of BHs that die the fastest against me are pistoleers and riflemen.
Carbs with some CM/Doc are more difficult, but still not a threat.

If you're hunting mostly paddys, a lot will depend on how much they PvP'd and how far along they are.

If you're rocking with the big boys (finished temps, experienced, older Jedi),you're not going to kill them with any of those weapons unless you catch them unprepared--in which case the weapon is much less important than the circumstances.

I think the carbine is a better all-around, general-purpose weapon--thus lending itself to more situations.

With the right foods, you are not going to be running out of action with a rifle that has 54 SAC.

Yes, but Rifles have a crafted SAC cap of 82 or so. WIth carbines the cap is 73. Witha power-up, a well crafted carbine will always have better sac than a well crafted rifle with a power-up.

If you can't pull off the ellusive Alpha Strike your dead, as a Master Carbineer I last and last

-Also a Cerzka is a bit better then the Tusken and with a Jedi with a PSG, your gonna want that kenetic damage

-Also on top of that I can Pup for damage instead of Sac (But I don't......... SAC PUP'ing is waaaay too fun)

-Also on top of that I have better Direct Damage Specials Legshot and Crit, instead of Head Shot and Crit.

Wise words. Carbines gets my vote as well. I'd been a Rifleman since I began playing...ohhh...a long time ago, but Carbines are my preferred gun since the CU.

Rifles are contingent upon stealth, and while they are powerful, I find Carbines to be better suited for the type of combat you will be facing against a Jedi. You have to sacrifice mobility with Rifles, and against a Jedi, that's death.

When you mate the specials of BH to those of Carbineer, you're going to have just about all the offensive tools you could ask for...outside of an Armor Break...which is something ranged professions *should* have. I can understand a lightsaber breaking armor, but I can also easily see a high powered blaster doing the same. A sword, however, I cannot...yet Swordsmen get Armor Break. Oh well.
