Thread: Damage Modifiers
What determines how much range damage you do?
I am a master carbineer and a novice carbineer was doing 1000 dmg more on her crippling shots than i. I have an awesome laser carbine as it is
As far as I knew, it is:
weapon damage x skill modifier x armor rating modifier
Based on the thousands of shots I've done, the Crippling modifierhas ranged from about 7.5 to .95
Your range in relation to the mob should affect you ability to hit, not damage, since I've pulled a couple 3000+ damage hits (after mods) at point blank.
That one has always worked for me when I tested the damages

I am using the Combat simulations to find out my most effective way to kill creatures.
My problem is that I find different damage modifiers on the varous special attacks.
According to this thread hit3=5 and bodyhit3=3.5
But according to the popular Damage calculator its 4 og 4 ?
And whats the correct speed modifiers?
Range to target/movement both add or more often subtract from the overall accuracy, thus resulting in lower than max hits.
Which is why damage calculators are SO off in their representation of how much damage a weapon will do.
