After picking up carbines on TC, I have only been beaten in one duel, out of about 15.

Charge shot and legshot are you friends, crippling shot is great vs melee or pistoleers because it allows you to kite them easily. TBH i dont use any other specials because none seem paricularly effective


Use e-11 mark 2 carbine as a rule of thumb.

I am curious as to how speed really affects our DPS, as it seems to me that there is no real cap on speed and Rifles do WAAAY more damage than carbines and pistols do. From what I have seen on TC, they really do not shoot much slower than Carbs/pistols, have far better range by at least 14m and do x2 the damage that our carbines do. I really hope they look into this and hardcap speeds for the weapon types. Pistols should definately be the fastest, then carbs, then rifles, but it doesn't seem to be working out this way currently.

Here is a link to the wpnsmith forum and a thread regarding crafted weapons, as you'll see Rifles are FAR superior to carbines, even laser rifle to laser carbine is pretty extreme. There is definately time left to tweak this, but I will be very unhappy if Rifleman becomes the one shot/one kill profession it is now. This is supposed to be balanced......

what should i be using for curb specials? Ive noticed that i lose in duels to every profession except melee.
They hit me 2-3 times harder than i am hitting them.has anyone else experienced this? ive tried everything but i am constantly getting killed in seconds and i have barely even scratched them. Sorta feels like they didnt change anything O_o
