I am currently a Master Marksman and only 100 Apprenticeship xp short of master scout. I'm only about 10 days old to this game so I'm not very familar with planets other then naboo and coreilla(sp?). My problem is I am having a really hard time getting the 40k combat xp I need to become a novice Bounty Hunter. I am currently at 15k/40k needed. This took me a day of straight boring mission kills on coreilla.

I can't seem to find a topic for exactly what I'm looking for. Most people needing harder mobs want them for money, I need them for easy xp. Basicly, Where is a good place to get tons of combat xp for minimal difficulty.

Sorry if this is rather long, I have a hard time making things short

I feel your pain. Let me see if I can help out. If you're looking for good xp and good combat xp, then you need to try and find yellow non-aggro non-social creatures to kill. At your level I think Humbaas (I think that's the name) are a good choice. Or you get lucky and find a group of whites that keep spawning and grind away. I found some flying thing (I can't remember the name) on Naboo that was white to me at your level and they kept spawning for 2 hours. I got 600xp per and killed about 40 in that time frame.

Another thing to consider is that you get combat xp based on the xp of killing a creature. If you have a weaker weapon skill (like for me it could be Carbine), then if you use that weapon you'll get more xp for that weapon and therefore more for combat xp. Right now I'm a novice Bounty Hunter and if I want combat xp, I use my lightning gun and I get way more xp for even a low level creature than my pistol.

don't know what your faction is, but i made my novice bounty hunter by finding either imp spawns or beldonna's league spawns (usually just outside the mission spawn areas around coronet). they were either yellow or red to me. just go back and forth between them with maybe the help of one other person. i averaged over 100 combat xp per kill. then just be smart about not getting killed... that wastes mucho time.

Try the rogue corsec POI on Corellia. You can get the mission from the excited journalist near the capitol building in Coronet. I soloed the base as a novice pistoleer and almost cleaned it out. ther trick is to concentrate on the indiviual groups of three at a time. I was kiilled but walked away with several thousand credits, xp and over 1k combat, -4950 rogue faction, plus various loot. it was fun. There is also a cave of Dralls of some kind in the agrilit swamps. somewhere with 2km from the back of the cantina in moeniaon naboo is a cave guarded by narglatches and filled with ?. I avoided it because there is also a gungan fight with plasma theives that i joines and netted some good combat. These are a good break from hunting.

A friend of mine has 1111 in the carbine tree but she has tons of trouble finding things to hunt that A) won't turn her into lunch B) won't put her asleep while killing tiny little critters.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice for her (I'll pass it along) as in what to hunt or where ect. Thanks guys

(not clue as to why she wanted carbineer....)

Tell your friend to get doctor buffs and wear armor. Those two things will help A LOT. That will keep one alive much, much longer.

Like previous poster said, level speed line first.

Like the above posters said, doctor buffs are the solution, with them you don't even need player skills and can stand in melee with your ranged weapon and push over and over a single button.
Possible drawback : you don't learn how to play your class.

thankfully since we get a good special at novice, you don't have to waste xp getting anything like burst1 or cripplingshot...that being said, she should have gone up speed first...after speed i would do accuracy, then counterattack.

tell her to get buffed, go to dantooine, take 6800-6900credit missions (savage quenkers).

get around 60m away from the closest quenker.

/actionshot1;

/pause 1;

/peace;

/stand;

walk back 5-10m...then when the quenker agros engage in combat when it's away from the other one.

on the 2nd one, just go prone at 50m and hit w/ fullautosingle2 'til he agros, then stand and keep firing.

rinse/repeat w/ each lair spawn.

once she gets enough speed to take out 2 quickly enough...just start on one at prone, and take on both at once...you'll take more dmg this way, but as long as she can keep up w/ them, doin xp is all 'bout the speed, so don't waste time pulling 1 at a time unless you have to.

wearing ubese or high kinetic composite, they really can't killher while buffed, so then she could just go in and slug it out w/ them. make sure she knows to be grouped w/ someone or a pet to get the 25% group xp bonus, & she'll get 'bout 3.4k/kill, and 3.9k when she reaches a certain point. roughly 20k-25k per mission lair.

it's boring to do these so much...but it is very effective. she might wish to just do quenkers to get speed/accuracy then finish up the last slug of xp doing something harder/more enjoyable, but if she wants ease & speed, quenkers will do her fine.

Hello i am realitivally new still to this game and the irony is that the game is changing, but anyways that has nothing to do with my question for you guys . What would you suggest someone who has only a tier 3 brawler skill (actually two but that dose not matter really now dose it ?) to hunt for herbivore meat , as in where and what do you suggest i hunt for it, perfrably something that would rool off of missions... i am right now in the collecting resource state for grinding medic craftig to get into the BE profession , and i wanted to gather resources right now organic wise to make the grind easier as i will have what i need accessible to me there and then when i begin.

Any suggestions tips , animal names , and planets they are located on would be very helpful to me, and thank you to any who despences wisdom on this topic for me.

under www.swgcreatures.com --> advanced search

you can choose planet and meat-type - and you will see what creature/lvl this meat have

under www.swgcraft.com --> current recources

Go to Talus. On most servers Talus and Rori are the forgotten planets.

Get the highest level missions you can. For Herbivore look for Huf Dun missions. NO DB, decent XP. As you advance, you will get better missions. Harvest all the meat you can, regardless of quality, as all you are doing is grinding.

You kill several birds with one stone. You get mission pay. You get scout XP by harvesting. You get combat XP and combat class XP for killing the beasties. Throw some traps, you get trapping XP. What a deal for you.
