Thread: How Many Carbines do You carry????
I just noticed, I carry 15 carbines...
3 Elite Carbines
3 DXR6 Carbines
2 DH17 snub carbines
1 EE3 Carbine
and 6 laser carbines
I just realized that, and with that 20% decay stuff... I decided to put away most of it at the house... just in case I forget =D
2 Laser Carbines (1 with high damage/ 1 with stock and Speed slice)
1 Elite
1 DXR6
1 Snub
1 Laser (Good damage, good speed, AR2)
1 DXR6 (acid, bad speed 4.5, good damage)
1 EE3 (Heat, high damage, great speed 2.2, and no AR)
My initial philosophy playing a carbineer was to get an elite and stay with it, since it was 'the best'. AFter reading several posts I went to my weaponsmith of choice and got a few examples of each type.
I'm finding now that if the opponent is not heat-resistant or armored, my EE3 is hands-down the best. Same damage as the elite, has a radius of effect (not sure about what it does yet) and is very fast.
If they're heat-resist and/or ar1, I use the elite. It's fast, it's stable.
If they're AR2 and/or heat resist, I use the laser.
If they're ar1/ar0 and/or heat/energy resist I use the dxr6, but usually one of the others can hit for the same damage anyway.
I'm finding that using the laser for a good bleed in the start (have been stacking bleeds for 1k to 1.5k per pulse) and switching to a faster, more reliable gun is the way to go. I can solo redcons (force sensitives, this week) and only die about half the time. If you pick a mob with no ranged attack component, you can kite them to death with the judicious use of chargeshot1 if they get close, or another bleed and hope for a posture change. Then you keep running to 50m and let him follow.
This sound like anyone else's tactic, or am I just talking crazy?

4 carbines total..
1 Laser Carbine- for rangedsniping / High damage
1 DH17 - Low HAM usage / quick firing spam gun (warningshot kiting or knockdown spam)
1 DXR6 - For acid damage and close range fighting
1 EE3 - For heat damage and close range fighting
I carry 1 DH17 (2.4 Speed, 103-244), One laser (2.7 speed, 43-264) and one DXR6 (3.7 speed, 104-211).
But in my large house, i've about 10 carbines exposed on the wall. I don't see the need to carry more than 3 or 4 carbines at a t ime. IMO

1 Elite piece of crap to take out ST camps after all the STs have been killed/
Im waiting on a krayt laser carbine which will become my PvP weapon of choice. Made with 75 Max Krayt Tissues. ![]()
