Thread: carbineer sux big time
ok first i just some changes for the carbine that went to tc.
they improved a few defensive mods(counterattack) as well as the same for pistol and rifleman.
again no specific fixes for carbine fix the **edit** bloody ham costs.how long does it **edit**en take.
i started a new char on a different server just to try something new . i tried tka.
at novice tka i can solo mobs that i cant even look at as master carbineer, i am sick of this **edit**. i have been fairly patient so far but i have reached my limit. i believed what u said soj and was waiting for the changes u said were coming yet it looks there will be no fixes for carbiners in upcoming big patch.
so pull your **edit**ing finger out stop being polite and start screaming on the correspondents forum untill the devs go **edit**en deaf.
IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS AND THEY HAVE NOT FIXED A SINGLE THING SPECIFICALY TO DO WITH CARBINEERS.(thair goddamn hybrid fixes for 5 proffesions at the time do not **edit**en count).

Being loud, annoying, and idiotic wont get anything fixed. SOJ does his duty and does it well. He voices our concerns to the devs, and pushes for changes. What more can he do? He can't force them to change things immediatly. He tells them our problems, its up to the devs to fix it or not.
That's pretty much all there is to it. No amount of screaming, cursing, or posts is going to change that.
yes well show me the results 4 months of being polite= how many fixes specific to the carbineers
and dont say they were not aware of our problems the devs have specificaly stated on the third week aftr release they were investigating the ham costs of carbineers an than they stated they were indeed out of whack and they were gonna be fixed.
4 months down the track still no **edit**en fixes
u have a better idea hell i am all ears but the polite reporting of issues has not done **edit**.
on another note i am not a first time poster i have mastered 4 elite proffesions and i am well aware that we are not the only bugged proffesion , but we are theONLY proffession UP TO DATE THAT HAS NOT GOT ANY SPECIFIC FIXES. if u have a look trough all the patch notes and updates u will see that.

WE ARE THE ONLY PROFFESSION THAT HAS NOT RECEIVED ANY PROFFESION RELATED FIXES.

It's not so much as I try to be nice as I try to be "professional." Posts that contain anger or annoyance usually seem to have a higher chance of being ignored, which isn't a uncommon thing. The Discussion forum is filled with Correspondents wanting changes and who knows how many of them will be viewed each week. We kind of accept that fact that we work off of their time because that is the best chance of being heard.
As for the changes on the TC, I'm pretty sure that's not all. I can't really say much about it, because I mostly don't know if there will be exactly (since not implementing them could just happen). I'll get more on their case about the changes that should be out. I don't think I can let that update go live without a HAM fix.
My carbineer is a master TKA, and we can dish out some fantastic damage. The problem is that the bad guys get to hit back.
Balance? I'm 2/3/1/2 Carbineer, and I take on stuff that my TKA couldn't touch close-range, with my carbine skills alone. Why? They miss more often with guns, and they can't hit back with their hands.
I personally don't believe that the mods are functioning properly, but I'm happy to see any improvement to our class.

Another post by someone that has obviously not taken the time how to use their specials. Carbineer is a finesse class that can handle powerful mobs in a solo (re:no pets!) situation. Learn the specials and how to use them before slnadering my loved profession please.

Ok now if you actually read his post, he was complaining about us never getting any fixes like we should be and wasn't stating that we were completely useless because of it. Yes with carbine you can usual handle creatures that riflemen and pistoleers can't because of our mob control skills but for people that have actually been a carbineer since the very beginning and didn't just start playing in August its starting to get on us on how we are simply being ignored all the time and passed over each patch. I know how to solo higher lvl mobs just with my skills but it's a joke that I have to continously heal myself over and over and not because the creature is hitting me but because the HAM cost are almost killing me and if one of my shots miss and the creature gets close enough it'll take me down in one hit since my HAM is almost gone.
Post like yours are not needed for the Carbineer community because it gives a false view of what the community has on the current state of the Carbineer profession. The Devs know we are broken and that the HAM is not where its suppose to be, thats not the issue. The issue is that the Devs know these things but still don't fix us and instead continue to make fixes to other professions over and over. People that post like you are justadding to this problem because itgives the Devs the imprention that are fixs aren't needed now because we are content on the state of the profession.

Actually, I was exactly on target.
First, the name of the post - not constructive, not true. Carbineer is a good class, with some problems. My post is on target...the thread itself, from the very title gives the false view.
Second, I did read the post and addressed a specific issue - the ability to handle mobs. Obviously the thread starter does not know how to use his given specials because he does have the ability to handle mobs better than almost any class outside of Combat Medic.
If I was to address the issue of needing fixes, which I did not, I would have said that yes carbineers need fixes, and so do alot of other things in the game. You erroniously assumed that I think Carbineer is perfect or should be left alone. I only said to work with what youve got, cause it aint as bad as its being made out.
A useful discussion of the direction of carbineer will show what works and doesnt work. Labeling the entire class as "sux big time" is what you should be concerned about...this will cause the developrs to ignore anything useful and constructive.
