when you guys duel do you use the area attacks or single attacks. for example i have my template set up as

faa2, ws2, cs2, as2,bs2,ss2, crp, sf2

fas2, ws1, cs1, Ls3,bs1, pb

i usually open up with faa2, to apply states followed by ws2 with a cs2. should i only use area attacks when attacking areas or use them also when dueling or whatnot. to my understanding the area attacks have higher ham costs but higher damages and higher chance of sticking a state. am i correct on this please help. I have been trying to test this out please help me with this so i don't waste ham.Is it better to use singles vs areas in duels?

By definition a duel is 1 on 1. With ZERO acceptions, the single target versions of the specials are either faster or higher damage. Always use the single target specials. Check my thread on specials stickied at the top of this forum for the damage and speed modifiers of most of our specials.

I prefer using FAA2 over FAS2 because I can shoot at the speed cap and it saves up space in my toolbar. The only time I use single attacks are with SS2 and Crippleshot.
