hello! ive never been seriously in the market for any skill mod attachments, but id sure like to try to max my skillattachment allowance for carbine speed. so im wondering, what is the best way to go about collecting these attachments, and how much should i pay on average for how much of an increase? i see items going from time to time that have +1 or +3 or something low like that, but how would i ever reach the +25 cap +1 at a time? there must be better attachments out there. so how do i get them? are they lootable? if sowhat drops them? any input here would be grrreat.

btw, im on bloodfin if that helps anybody with suggestions.

Firstly at most you can have on skill from and attachment per item. So if you have a four socket armour helmet and you put a +1, +2, +2 and +3 carbine speed tapes in it the total bonus is +3. Not sure if this was intened or if it was a bug, but in either case it is not helpful.

The Second issue is Armour and Decay. Most Carbineers go head to toe in armour. So that leaves you with9 peices of armour, a belt, a bandolier/backpack and an undershirt. Couple quick points on this issues

  • Armour Attachments don't work in clothing and Clothing Attachments don't work in armour.

  • Armour decays real fast, so dropping that shiny +11 Carbine Speed Attachment into the helmet isn't that great of an idea in today's /headshot3 spamming world. How often do you replace your armour, and how often do you find sweet tapes like that.

  • There are 3 peices of hybrid equipment you should be aware of The Mabari Armourweave Belt, Ubese Armour Bandolier, and the Ubese Undershirt. These will all accept Armour Attachments and will not decay as rapidily. So they are your friend.

  • So in total you have 9 Armour Attachment spots and 3 grab bag spots. What i suggest is buying +1 and +2 armour attachments in bulk, (you can usually get them for about 10K) and dropping them in your armour peices since they are rather easily accessible.

  • In your 3 grab bag spots, search your trade forums, ask your guildies, visit Attachment and Loot vendors and look for some sweet +5 or better attachments, get three of them and use some combination of those 3 hybrid items or regular shirts/belts/bandoliers (that accept clothing attachments) to get a decent bonus.

If you manage to get say a +5 armour attachment, +6 clothing attachment, +4 clothing attachment, you only need toaquire one +2 armour attachment and 8 +1 Armour Attachments and you will be up to +25, 5 + 6 + 4 + 2 + 8(1) = 25

Something like this would make a good FAQ addition.

I think the hybrid belt is padded, but if you PvP the belt probably isn't a good idea because PSGs take the belt slot.

There is a Mabari and a Padded Armour belt. I just mentioned the Mabari one because it is the only belt in the game that doesn't look awful. Most belts look bulky and have pockets and other nonsense dangling from theme. Plus speaking from the AS side Mabari Belts are easier to make. All around bette choice IMO.
