Thread: Carbineer needs a stun weapon for PvP
It is not stun damage in itself that is overpowered it's more of an armor problem. Giving everyone stun weapons would be nothing but a temporary fix at best. There is much that needs to be done about combat to make it more fun for everyone. As it is now the mind is pretty much the only pool to hit as health and action can be healed easily. Personally I think the only prof that should be able to heal in combat should be combat medics, not just everyone with novice medic.

But there is no other way to be successful. Against 90% armor there is only one strategy to win, and thats to use stun.
Edit: Whats stragy mean?

yup, against buffed 90% armor...80% even for us...there's no way to win w/out stun.
the problem i see w/ that statement is the armor part, not the lack of stun...armor makes PVP too defensive/stun-based, and makes PVE a joke for a handful of professions that can tank anything w/ it. and i mean anything. decrease buff/armor effectiveness, and mix up some vulnerabilities into composite that it currently doesn't have, and you have a much more dynamic system than handing everyone a stun weapon.

True enough, armor is overpowered. However which is easier to address short term? I say give everyone a stun weapon to put everybody on an even playing field while they address the larger armor problems. Really do you want to deal with the way it is now for several months while they tinker around with armor? I sure dont.
