I seem to remember reading that the EE3 splash damage doesn't work, is this true? How hard would it be to get this fixed? I believe if we got this fixed that it could be THE PvP carbine for taking down groups, here is why.

3 enemies that are in a tight group. You use BurstShot2 on the one in the middle. The splash damage from him hits everyone within the radius. Since BurstShot2 is AOE everyperson that is hit will also provide splash damage to others in the area. With a tight group of people using AOE and the EE3 we should be able to just shred a group to pieces. Not sure if it would really work this way but if it does this would be awesome.

What do you think?

Even with splash damage the EE3 would be terrible in PVP. AP0 + 80% heat resistance = no damage . Except for those poor Wookiees and their heat-vulernable armor...

One of the reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire was, lacking the number 0, they had no way to indicate successful return from their C programs.

This is probably the exact reason why this has not been fixed! I have thought of exactly the same scenario before, and my conclusion was that the only way they could fix the radius of the EE3 is if it only worked when a non AOE shot was fired. Can you imagine the damage it would do in a cave against tight grouped NPC's or creatures with no armor rating even? You would be doing in some cases 10-15K+ in damage per target, that would not work at all I am afraid.

But, if it worked without specials being used, it would still be a nice auto fire feature to have, even if it did not do much damage.
