Thread: Two Carbineers vs. Dark Jedi

It was in the middle of darkest dark on Dathomir when I found the Dark Jedi. He was standing alone. Perhaps admiring the night or waiting for something. I examined the strength of his character and found it to be mighty. (300k HAM, 90% across except for stun 20%)
I reached for my Stun Carbine only to find that I didn't have one. Feeling a bit adventures Icrept closer to get a better look. At 65m the Jedi noticed me and charged. I blasted a few rounds trying to knock him down. No dice. I back away quickly keeping distance, but he's closing quick.
Before I realize it I've run straight through a party of NightSisters. I crash through their ring, step in their dinner andbreak the glowing rune circle.I expect the worst as I stagger into the trees, but the Sister's don't release their vengence on me they turn to the Jedi.
Thus begins an epic battle. The Sisters (90k HAM and 100% resists to Kinetic) start battling the Jedi in a rumble of titans. Neither is really hurting the other. Hiding behind a tree I watch. After 10min I report back to HQ and a fellow Carbineer arrives to examine the scene.
After a brief conference, we decide to assist the NightSisters and start firing on the Dark Jedi. We opened fire with our Laser Carbines turning the night into day.
Three hours later, yes three, the dim sun rose upon the remains ofthe Jedi. Our reward? An imperial plan and 4k experience.
It was somewhere around hour two when we realized that we couldn't stop, but didn't want to continue.

Just a few notes on this fight.
Both of us are Master Carbineers. The Jedi had 300k ham, Heavy armor and 90% resists to everything, but stun.Weexperimentedwithspamming every special trying to see if we could break the 100 damage per hit barrier. We both had excellent Laser Carbines from a master weaponsmith guildmate.
We found that we could not land a single state effect. Not one in three hours. We could get a KD to hit maybe once every fifteen minutes or so, but do you really want to charge forward 5m for fifeteen minutes?
The Jedi and Sister were both "stuck" in TKA mode for about two hours. Then they suddenly decided to chase us around for a few minutes incapping me and by guildmate. They didn't DB us. Instead they resumed their battle, but now used force powers on each other.
About the 2.5 hour mark a PC Jedi that I knew about stopped by to laugh at us.
The "loot" is going to be framed and placed on the wall of my house with a plaque stating "Dark Jedi Loot" proudly next to it.

So ChargeShot1 no longer punches through the resistances.....bummer....that is how I killed Nightsisters ![]()

Is sad
We need a stun weapon. If we got it, it would most likely be broken some how. Therefore, you may deduce that since we do not have one we are in the same position as if we did have one.

There is so much truth to this story. I hate hunting high level mobs cause I don't do enough damage and state effects don't stick. Oh well I still love carbineer and wait for us to get to a state where we fall between Rifleman and Pistoleer.

Well, I can't get tired of asking the same question over and over..."Why does carbines are so incredibly nerfed?"....Speed is not that goodconsidering thatRiflemen doesn't even have a cap on it and can bealmost as fast aspistoleers. Damage basically sucks and stats ailments don't stick for more than7 seconds....
...and how is that there are schematics for Geo-Pistols and Geo-Rifles but not only one god damn Geo-Carbine?!
I like being a carbineer, we are a special breed, there's not too many of us out there and I think this class should be rewarded to promote its existence. I mean, I can't doany quest (eg. Geo-Cave, Force Crystal cave, etc...) before having to switch to my other profession so I can do some descent damage. It's not fair.
Note: my "other" profession is not TKM, (God protect me from it) not even if it was the only profession besides carbineer in the game.

I have a similar story with one of those 27k NPCs on Dantooine, you know, with the 80% resists. Not exactly as hardcore as yours, but those 1657 credits for45 mins work (I was 0 2 0 2 Carbine at the time) brought a smile to my face 
Fortunately, he decided not to run very fast and I could pretty much stay 30-50m from him at all times. I stuck on the chase camera and ran around in circles for 45 mins and tried a variety of autosingle, actionshot and chargeshot attacks. In my case, dizzy actually stuck once. I fumbled for the chargeshot, slipped in my excitement and burstshot instead. By the time the chargeshot hit the dizzy had gone...so very, very, very close
