Thread: now that's a great surprise ! the Dxr6 carbine PvP power !

hi all, I found this interresting so I'll post it here.
To train in PvP, we're going with a friend in some place and duel each other, he's MBH/Mpistoleer and something like novice medic, I'm BH2441/Carbineer 0300/pistoleer 0044 and some other scout thingies.
so he has mitigation 3 (ranged), I have mitigation 2.
so we used to duel using eye shot, but then I wanted to switch to carbines, I made myself a krayt dxr6 carbine (3.0speed 307damage without powerup, decay is a huge pain on that one), for big mobs and such, I seriously thought it'd have sucked for PvP.
I still wanted to try it, and what happened ? hitt'd the dude for over 500PvP damage every second, he tried to heal, spam eyeshot, and finally got owned (he owns me most of time tho
) I mean, people never mention the dxr6 carbine as PvP carbine but as I looked, it was the best damage range to get through mitigation, and it does greaaat damage (acid can't be resisted with PsGs if I remember).
well, just my advice, get a nice dxr6 carbine you won't regret it.

My elite has a better damage range than the DXR6... but it's energy damage of course.
With ranged mitigation 3, your best weapon is the Elite or DXR6... but 70% of the people you go up against in combat don't have ranged mitigation three, so you'll still most likely be using your Laser Carb most often.

We have discussed this extensively.....use an Elite if the opponent has Ranged Mitigation and no PSG.....with PSG use the DXR6....without Ranged Mitigation use the Laser.
The discussion was weeks ago so I don't feel like hunting it down....
