Thread: Cripple Shot problems

I read the faq and specials, says this special works correctly, however my burst shot 1 with my laser carbine does around 1400-2000 dmg pve (mostly quenkers) and my cripple shot does 1600-2100, so mostly they end up doing the same damage. I was under the impression that cripple shot did WAY more damage then burst one, even more than burst 2. Does cripple shot only work well with a high min dmg weapon? what is the deal? my burst one is doing the same damage as my cripple, im confused.

Burstshot2 does 'x6' damage (I think)
Crippleshot does 'x7' damage.
So yeah, they do about the same damage.
I think Crippleshot is a little easier on the HAM though, I'm not 100%.

BurstShot1 is a much lower HAM shot than CripplingShot......easy to lookup in the STICKY posts if you don't really know.....
The original post was about BurstShot1, not BurstShot2 which is a Cone Effect Special and can do far more damage than CripplingShot when attacking a whole group.
And as is discussed a lot around here, FullAutoSingle2 is the shot with the highest DPS until you hit the Speed Cap. BurstShot1 and CripplingShot are equal in DPS until you hit the Speed Cap. BurstShot1 should be used when unbuffed and FAS2 used with buffs only.
