Thread: Having Issues doing damage on occasion.

Ok,
Lately, I've noticed in Pvp while I hit reliably on most templates. Im having a hell of a time doing any real damage...
This seems really counter intuitive as in groups with other professions I tend to outdamage or at least keep up with most.
One situation in particular really bugs me.
1 on 1 duel with a M-brawler/M-Swordsman
kited him for about 3 minutes using a Laser 110 - 598 damage carbine +72 accuracy (I bet on him having no rangedmit and was right).
Hit every shot between 25 damage >< and 350 damage mostly high end thou between 150 -200.
Hit the guy about 30 to 40 times. Kd'd him first attempt for at least 7 or 8 crippleshots avg around 350 damage shots while he was KD'd.
I was spaming crippleshot as my main "damage" attack once a second. Kept up the stun blind and dizzy (really not hard to do)
never scratched the guy. I mean not even a scratch. His ham moved maybe a smidge from full but shot right back up.
eventually he caught me, during an ill planned kitting turn... ugh... kd/dizzied and 5 head hits later I was toast.
Is this a common experience for most. Seems a bit odd to me. Might thisbe a Shield Generator or something.
Sugestions, help... is it time to justgive it up or what.. lol

I have no idea what you mean by "lately"....this has been going on for 6 months....
Armor, buffs, PSG, food, Melee Defenses.....nothing new here....

he might have used either synthsteak or neutron pixie, or both.
I wouldn't use laser against ranged fighters, just for info, even tho this one was melee.
350 PvP damage is quite cool, crippling should get u up 500 PvP damage with the right weapon.
keep trying. melee fighters are mostly carbine meat.

Yea I guessed right that he had no ranged mit. I asked him his template and he said M-Brawler, M-Swordsman.(Which is why I used my Laser-Carb and when in doubt use my Laser-Carb)..
Kinda crappy having spent all my sp and he still had 150 left.. heh..
sigh... hopefully we'll do some kinda damage one of these mini-publisihes. I'd be nice to at least move the ham bar on a master melee prof.

p.s. What's the deal with the PSG's now. How does all that work. I always just figured they were useless after buying a few and watching em get trashed in one NPC fight.

welp point takin but Im not investing in those uber expenisive psgs... such bs.
As usual once someone actually catches me it's over fast anyway. lol..
The trick is they gotta catch me. God I miss the days of firefights. Im good at those.
These are the days of running like hell while some dood chases you with a stick.
While your technologicaly supperior laser machinegun might as well be a spit ball shooter.
Lol... o well... it's not always that bad ...

The Prototype PSG's on Chilastra are cheaper than what Mk.3's used to be.....5k or under for 2500 condition vs. 10k for 900 condition 
I have about 50 PSG's...most of which are sliced too

yup ranged fights are much more fun, much more tactical, not simply 2 dudes, Stand/stand and spam/spam...
